Feliz Natal 2012!! (Merry 2012 Christmas!!)

Olá!
Aqui está minha Árvore de Natal!
É bem grande, está cheia de enfeites que juntei ao longo de 19 anos....sim, essa Árvore já tem 19 anos, é uma 'senhora' que ainda brilha e trás aconchego ao fim de mais um ano.
Sei que em algum momento vou ter que substituí-la por outra, por uma nova...mas gosto tanto desta!

Here is my Christmas Tree!
It's pretty great, full of ornaments that I gathered over 19 years .... yes, this tree is 19 years old now, it is a 'lady' that still shines and brings warmth to the end of another year.
I know that at some point I will have to replace it with another, a new one ... but I like this so much!
Bem, como todo mundo sabe tirar fotos não é meu ponto forte, mas dá pra ver este bonequinho escocês no topo da Árvore, né? Eu trouxe da Escócia este ano, e também vai ficar velhinho enfeitando minha Árvore.
Gosto de juntar lembranças boas.
Lembro de todos os livros, álbuns, mini-livros, Livros das Sombras, de receitas, agendas.. e tantos outros que fiz ao longo deste ano de 2012 e que agora estão nas casas de vocês que prestigiaram o Estúdio Brigit adquirindo ou encomendando cada um deles.
A todos que nos acompanham, que nos visitam, desejamos um Natal, com muito Amor, muita compreensão, muita união, muita Paz e Proteção Divina!

Well, as everyone knows shooting is not my strong point, but you can see this Scottish doll atop the Tree, right? I brought it from Scotland this year, and it will also be gracing my old tree.
I like to gather good memories.
I remember all the books, albums, mini-books, Books of Shadows, recipes, calendars .. and many others that I made in this 2012 year and are now in the homes of you who attended the Studio Brigit acquiring or commissioning each one.
To all who follow and visit us, we wish Christmas with much love, much understanding, much unity, Peace and Divine Protection a lot!

Natal chegando! (Christmas is coming!)
Oláaa!!
O Natal está batendo á porta, aliás, está quase derrubando a porta mesmo!
E tantas coisas pra serem feitas ainda, tantos preparativos!
Este ano estou bem atrasada, aquela super viagem que fiz me deixou um pouco fora do tempo!
Mas, vamos lá! Arrumar mais enfeites, mimos e presentinhos que toquem o coração .... e por que não uns biscoitinhos de gengibre também?! Adoro fazer biscoitos de Natal!
E aí? Tá todo mundo pronto pro Natal?

Christmas is knocking at the door, by the way, is almost overthrowing the door!
And still so many things to be done, so many preparations!
This year I'm well overdue, that super trip I took in October left me a little lost.
But, c'mon! Let's make more decorations, treats and gifts that touch the hearts .... and why not some ginger cookies too?! I love making Christmas cookies!

Árvore de Natal (Christmas Tree)

Olá!
Vocês lembram que ano passado eu mostrei uma Árvore de Natal feita com as folhas de uma revista?
Era bem fácil de fazer, não era?
Este ano eu fiz outra bem fácil também. Na verdade, pesquiso bastante pela Internet e vou pegando uma ideia aqui, outra ali...
A Árvore de Natal foi feita com um lápis, círculos de papel dobrado e uma estrelinha de origami!
Uma ideia simples, que aproveita pedaços pequenos de papel e que deixa qualquer mesa mais alegre. A da foto está na minha mesa de trabalho aqui no Estúdio!

Remember that last year I showed a Christmas tree made with the leaves of a magazine?
It was pretty easy to do, wasn't it?
This year I made another easy one as well. Actually, I search the internet and I pick up an idea here and there ...
The Christmas tree on the photo was made with a pencil, some circle papers and a star folded origami!
A simple idea that reuses small pieces of paper and makes any desk happier! The one in the photo is on my desk here in the studio!

Livro das Sombras "Aged Book" (Book of Shadows "Aged Book")

Este é um Livro das Sombras feito sob encomenda, e que encomenda especial!
A futura proprietária do Livro queria que tivesse um aspecto envelhecido, desde as folhas até a capa, tudo!

This is a Book of Shadows made by order, and what a special order!
The future owner of the Book wished it to be aged, from the leaves to the cover, everything!
Este Livro possui uma faixa para fechamento com peças de metal, e essa faixa é regulável, então se o Livro engrossar devido a folhas avulsas de anotações inseridas nele, pode-se ajustar a faixa para que o fechamento fique seguro.
This book has a band to closure with metal parts, and this band is adjustable, so if the Book thicken due to loose sheets of notes inserted in it, the owner can adjust the band so that the closure is secure.
O Livro mede aproximadamente 20cm x 27cm e 5cm de espessura. A lombada é em courino brilhante, a capa posterior é em courino fosco e a capa frontal é de tecido importado especial para encadernação na cor bordô.
The book measures about 20cm x 27cm and 5cm thick. The spine is in bright courino (fake leather), the back cover is in matte courino and the front cover is of special imported binder fabric in the color burgundy.
A faixa de fechamento é presa na lombada através de uma linda costura cruzada!
The closing band is attached to the spine through a beautiful cross-stitching!
Na capa frontal há a imagem impressa de um pentagrama.
On the front cover there is a printed image of a Pentagram.
Usei cantoneiras de couro presas com tachas metálicas e coloquei tachas também em outras partes do livro.
I used angle leather fastened with metal studs and put tacks in other parts of the book.
O Livro todo foi envelhecido através de pintura, inclusive os metais. O fechamento é na parte da frente do Livro e a costura cruzada ajudou a dar um aspecto antigo.
The whole book was aged through painting, including metals. The closure is in front of the Book and the cross stitching helped to give it an antique look.
Também na capa frontal há uma imagem em alto relevo revelando as Luas e suas fases.
Also on the front cover there is a picture embossed revealing the Moon and its phases.
Na capa posterior mantive a costura cruzada, tudo envelhecido também.
On the back cover I kept the cross stitching, all aged as well.
A fivela de fechamento é simples de abrir.
The buckle closure is easy to open.
Vejam o detalhe da costura na lombada.
Look at the detail of the stitching on the spine.
E a faixa de fechamento presa na lombada:
And the closing band prey on the spine:
Aqui podemos ver como o Livro fica quando aberto, vemos a capa posterior, a lombada e a capa frontal.
Here we can see how the book is while opened, we see the back cover, the spine and front cover.
Ao abrirmos o Livro uma bonita Folha de Guarda, com desenhos clássicos e envelhecida.
By opening the book we see a beautiful aged Leaf Guard, with classic designs.
A Outra parte da Folha de Guarda fiz em papel Color Plus 120g/m² na cor preta.
The other part of The Leaf Guard I made with black Color Plus 120g / m² paper.
Os marcadores são em fitas de cetim preta e bordô, com pingentes de Lua e Coruja.
The markers are in black and burgundy satin ribbons, with Owl and Moon pendants.
É um Livro grande, possui 160 folhas, ou seja, 320 páginas totalmente envelhecidas que ficaram com uma bonita cor de caramelo queimado.
It's a big book with 160 sheets, or 320 pages, that were fully aged and now have a beautiful color of burnt caramel.
Aqui podemos ver como fica a lateral das folhas envelhecidas.
Here we can see how is the side of the aged leaves .
Deu bastante trabalho porque envelheci cada folha, uma a uma, e depois de todas prontas envelheci também a capa.
It took a lot of work because I aged each leaf, one by one, and after all I also aged to cover.
Mas o resultado final foi excelente! E o mais importante: a futura proprietária adorou!
But the outcome was excellent! And most importantly, the future owner loved it!
E eu também adorei fazer e envelhecer um Livro das Sombras!
And I also loved making and aging a Book of Shadows!

Envelopes de Natal (Christmas Envelopes)

Por isso fiz estes envelopes de Natal!
Os envelopes são em papel vermelho e verde por fora, e por dentro são decorados com tecidos natalinos variados.
That's why I made these Christmas envelopes !
The envelopes are red and green paper on the outside and inside they are decorated with assorted Christmas fabrics.
Acompanha também um cartão em papel verde suave pra que você possa escrever sua mensagem de Natal!
There is also a soft green paper card for you to write your Christmas message!
Os envelopes medem 16 x 11 cm e são vendidos em grupos de quatro: 2 envelopes vermelhos e 2 envelopes verdes.
The envelopes measure 16 x 11 cm and are sold in groups of four: two red envelopes and 2 green envelopes.
