Tenho andando inspirada demais pra desenhar, o ovo acima tem vários doodles, faço sempre que tenho um tempo vazio mesmo que seja pouco.



Então, levo meu sketchbook e começo a desenhar na sala de espera do dentista, do médico, na fila do Correio......acho que fiquei viciada nisso!



 Feriado prolongado, sejam felizes e boa Páscoa pra todos, com muitos ovinhos de chocolate!

I've been too inspired  to draw, the egg above has various doodles, I always have that empty time even if it is little.



So I take my sketchbook and start drawing everywhere: in the waiting room of the dentist   or  the doctor, in line at the Post Office ...... I'm addicted!

A Viagem (9): Ópera Garnier (The Trip)

Aqui estou com mais uma postagem de quintas-feiras sobre a viagem que fiz no ano passado, e ainda estamos em Paris!

Na foto acima a "Velha Senhora" como é carinhosamente chamada pelos parisienses, e nesta foto de baixo parte da Boulevard des Italiens cheia de restaurantes e pâtisseries famosas, bem ao lado da Ópera  Garnier.

Here I am with another  Thursday post of the trip I took last year, and we are still in Paris!



In the picture above is the "Old Lady" as it is affectionately called by the Parisians, and on this photo below we see a part of the  Boulevard des Italiens, full of famous restaurants and pâtisseries, right next to the Opera Garnier.

A Ópera Garnier ou Palais Garnier cuja construção é considerada uma obra-prima do neobarroco, foi fundada em 1669 por Luís XIV e feita pelo arquiteto Charles Garnier.

The Palais Garnier or Opera Garnier  which construction is considered a masterpiece of Neo-Baroque, was founded in 1669 by Louis XIV and made ​​by the architect Charles Garnier.

É difícil saber quando o Palais Garnier é mais bonito: durante o dia ou completamente iluminado à noite!



Tem capacidade para 1979 pessoas sentadas.

Eu costumava passear à noite, mesmo com a chuva frequente,  por essas ruas lindas, cheias de monumentos e luzes....aliás, não é á toa que Paris é chamada de "Cidade Luz"!

Travel Book "Black"

É sempre bom relembrar e quando não anotamos, com o tempo esquecemos de detalhes, como os endereços interessantes de lojas, museus, restaurantes.... na capa há um bolso para guardar cartões, ingressos, tickets, enfim...muitas recordações dos bons momentos!

It's always good to remember good things but when we don't record these things in a notebook as time goes by we forget details like the addresses of interesting shops, museums, restaurants .... on the cover there is a pocket for storing cards, tickets... many memories of good times!

As características são as mesmas dos Travel Book anteriores: mede aproximadamente 16,5cm x 13,5cm, as capas são de papel de mapa por fora e papel kraft por dentro.

The features are the same as the last ones: It measures approximately 16.5 cm x 13.5 cm, the covers are in map paper  and kraft paper inside.

Livro fechado com uma caneta, fica num tamanho compacto e fácil de carregar.

Closed book with a pen, has a compact size and it's easy to carry.

Espaço para colocar uma ou duas canetas e bolso pra cartões, tickets.....

Space to put one or two pens and a pocket for cards, tickets .....

Dentro há um livro para anotações com 42 folhas, ou seja, 84 páginas, em papel offset ou Reciclato 120g/m².

Desta vez fiz a lombada com papel de viagem e a capa preta!

This time I made the spine with a kind of 'travel' paper  and black cover!

Não, não....não fiquei doida não.....é que ás vezes aqui no Estúdio me dá uma vontade louca de comer um pedaço de bolo e tomar cafezinho, então, fiz e pronto!

O cheirinho do bolo e do café se espalhou...até na rua dava pra sentir!

É um bolo que adoro, de limão, fácil de fazer, vai quase tudo no liquidificador, rapidinho!

A Viagem (9): Moulin Rouge (The Trip)

A foto acima mostra Hôtel National des Invalides que é um monumento nacional construído em 1670 a mando de Luís XIV para abrigar os soldados que ficavam inválidos nas guerras.



Essa função de abrigo continua até hoje, mas dentro dele também existem museus e uma necrópole militar.



A personalidade mais famosa sepultada lá é Napoleão Bonaparte.



Já esta foto de baixo mostra a praça do  Trocadero onde as pessoas se reunem procurando a melhor vista de Paris.



Mas o Trocadero não é apenas uma praça mas também o local onde está o  Palais de Chaillot, construído  para a Exposição Internacional de Paris, em 1937. Com uma estrutura circular ele inclui três museus e um teatro. 

De um lado está o Museu do Homem  com exposições temporárias sobre  a evolução humana e antropologia, e  o Museu da Marinha que conta a história naval do país. E do outro lado está o Teatro Nacional de Chaillot.

The photo above shows the  Hôtel National des Invalides which is a national monument built in 1670 at the behest of Louis XIV to house the soldiers who were disabled in the wars.

That role continues until today, but now  there are also museums and a military cemetery inside the building.

The most famous person buried there is Napoleon Bonaparte.

This photo below shows the Trocadero Square where people gather looking for the best view of Paris.

But Trocadero is not just a square but the place of the Palais de Chaillot, built for the International Exhibition of Paris in 1937. With a circular structure it includes three museums and a theater.

On one side is the Museum of Man with temporary exhibits on human evolution and anthropology, and the Maritime Museum which tells the naval history of the country. 

And the other side is the National Theatre of Chaillot.

E as duas fotos abaixo são do mais famoso e tradicional cabaré do mundo: o Moulin Rouge!



A fachada, como o próprio nome diz, tem um  grande moinho vermelho, bem iluminado e lotado de gente! 



Para assistir a um show ali é preciso ter sorte de conseguir comprar um ingresso pois a procura é muita.





And the two photos below are of the traditional and most famous cabaret in the world: The Moulin Rouge!

The facade, as the name implies, has a large red windmill, well lit and crowded with people!

To attend a show there one must be lucky to be able to buy a ticket because the demand is high.

O Moulin Rouge foi construído em 1889, fica no bairro de  Montmartre, em Paris, e era frequentado por pintores famosos como Toulouse-Lautrec que gostava de pintar quadros cujos temas eram as bailarinas, o show e o próprio salão do cabaré.

Até hoje é um local famoso pela boemia, o interior é luxuoso e a decoração da Belle Époque foi mantida.

Por algum motivo que não consegui entender não é possível entrar de casaco longo, nem de sobretudo; os casacos são deixados na chapelaria.

Também é proibido tirar fotos lá dentro.

The Moulin Rouge was built in 1889  in the neighborhood of Montmartre, in Paris, and was frequented by famous painters like Toulouse-Lautrec who liked to paint pictures of  the dancers, the concert hall and even of the cabaret itself.

Even today it is a popular spot for debauchery, the interior decor is luxurious and the Belle Époque style was maintained.

For some reason I could not understand why people can not enter wearing a long coat or overcoat; coats are left in the cloakroom.

It is also forbidden to take photos inside.

O ingresso inclui o quanto a pessoa conseguir tomar de Champagne, mas também pode-se pagar por um jantar.

O espetáculo é ótimo! 

São vários números de dança intercalados com números de mágica e de humor!

Ir a Paris e não ir ao Moulin Rouge é como ir ao Rio e não visitar o Pão de Açúcar, adorei!

Mais um Outono, mais um Mabon!



Época de  Mabon no Hemisfério Sul, é o tempo do descanso depois do trabalho e assim como em Ostara temos as horas do dia em equilibrio com as da noite, mas o período de escuridão (Inverno) se aproxima. 



Os preparativos para o Inverno já começam a ser feitos.



Já no Hemisfério Norte festejamos Ostara, se aproxima a Primavera, época mais fértil do ano, daí a pintura nos ovos e os coelhos de chocolate!



Quem acompanha o Estúdio Brigit sabe que pra mim é a época mais linda do ano! Vamos festejar!

Another Fall, one more Mabon!



Mabon season in the Southern Hemisphere, time to rest after work and as well as in Ostara, we have the hours of day in balance with the hours of  night, but the period of darkness (Winter) approaches.



The preparations for Winter are beginning to be made.



In the Northern Hemisphere is the celebration of Ostara, the spring is approaching, the most fertile time of the year, time to paint the eggs and have chocolate bunnies!

Mini livro "Italy" (Booklet "Italy")

Lembram que dias atrás acordei com vontade de fazer miniaturas?

Pois bem, o resultado foi este: livrinhos que cabem na palma da mão!

Remember that days ago I woke up in the mood to make miniatures?

Well, the result was this: booklets that fit in the palm of your hand!

Medem 3,8 cm de base por 5 cm de altura,  são menores do que um lápis e do mesmo tamanho que uma borracha comum.

The measures are 3.8 cm x 5 cm,  less than a pencil and the same size as a regular eraser.

São 56 folhas brancas em papel offset, as capas são forradas com um lindo papel italiano...

There are 56 leaves of white offset paper, the covers are lined with a beautiful Italian paper ...

 E as lombadas são de cores variadas e lisas.

And the spines are of varied  and smooth colors.

Aliás, falando em borrachas....eles são menores do que uma borracha! Ao menos são menores do que esta borracha cor de rosa  que comprei no "Our Dynamic Earth", um museu de ciências maravilhoso em Edinburgh, Escócia.

By the way, speaking about erasers .... they are smaller than one! At least they are smaller than this pink eraser I bought in "Our Dynamic Earth", a wonderful science museum in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Por enquanto fiz livrinhos com lombadas verdes, amarelas e azuis. Mas o papel que tenho para forrar as capas é pouco então assim que ficarem todos prontos será uma Edição Limitadíssima!

For now I made these ​​little books with green, yellow and blue spines. But I have just one sheet of italian paper to line the covers,  so as soon as they get ready they will be a very Limited Edition!

Tantas ideias pra fazer com eles! Dar de presente pra quem amamos com uma palavra escrita em cada folha, ou escrever um poema, fazer desenhos nas folhas como corações e pequenas flores......é um alembrança pra ser guardada por toda a vida por mães, namoradas, irmãs, avós........quem não gostaria de ganhar uma fofura dessas?

So many ideas to do with them! Give as a gift to loved ones with a word written on each sheet, or write a poem, draw pictures of small hearts and flowers ......  it is a lovely gift  to be stored for the whole life for mothers, girlfriends, sisters, grandparents.... who wouldn't like to win a cuteness like  this?

A Viagem (8): Um giro por Paris 2 (Another ride in Paris- The Trip)

Olá!

Esta é a entrada do  Conciergerie é uma das mais antigas construções de Paris, e assim que entramos no prédio vemos um salão que mostra a arquitetura medieval em estilo gótico, com grandes arcos e tetos altos.

A Conciergerie era o palácio real do trono francês mas também era a prisão mais famosa da Revolução Francesa, onde as execuções eram  diárias e o sangue manchava as ruas de Paris.

This is th entrance of The Conciergerie which is one of the oldest buildings in Paris, and as soon as we entered the building we see a big room that shows the medieval Gothic architecture, with large arches and high ceilings.

The Conciergerie was the royal palace to the French throne but was also the most famous prison of the French Revolution, where executions were daily, and blood stained the streets of Paris.

A "hóspede" mais famosa foi Maria Antonieta, que após sua execução teve  um monumento erigido pela família real após o retorno da monarquia. 



Dentro do prédio as antigas celas foram reconstituídas com bonecos de cera e o ambiente transmite uma certa tristeza,  é um local sombrio!





Its most famously "guest" Marie Antoinette, who after her execution had a monument erected by the royal family after the return of the monarchy.



Inside the building the old cells were reconstituted with waxworks and the environment conveys a certain sadness, it is a gloomy place!

Vamos para um local mais alegre, o Grand Palais com sua fachada maravilhosa, toda em pedra!

Ele foi construído em 1897 para as reuniões oficiais da Terceira República Francesa e atualmente abriga várias exposições dentre elas as de Arte e de Ciências.

Na verdade temos o Grand Palais de um lado da rua e o Petit Palais do outro lado. 

O Petit Palais também é um prédio histórico mas  totalmente dedicado às belas Artes.

Let's  go to a happier place, the Grand Palais with its wonderful facade, all in stone!

It was built in 1897 for the official meetings of the Third French Republic and currently houses several exhibitions among them the Art and Science.

In fact we have the Grand Palais on one side of the street and the Petit Palais on the other.

The Petit Palais is also a historic building but totally dedicated to the fine arts.

Hoje acordei assim...(Today I woke up so...)

Tem dias que fico com uma vontade louca de fazer miniaturas, livrinhos bem pequenos que caibam na palma da mão!



Então fui separando o material: tecidos importados especiais para encadernação, de cor lisa, papel branco, papelão pra fazer as capas.....e um papel italiano, todo decorado, maravilhoso, que a Gabi trouxe da Itália quando esteve lá.



Daí eu sento e fico olhando o material, as ideias começam a brotar, pego um papel e começo a desenhar o que seria o livrinho que está na minha imaginação.....modifico as medidas, refaço algumas....lembro de alguns livrinhos italianos que estão à venda nas muitas lojas de Florença e que podem ser vistos nos sites, servem de inspiração.



O que será que vai sair daqui?

Assim que terminar eu mostro!

Some days (like today) I get a mad desire to make miniatures, very small booklets that fit in the palm of my hand!



So I begin separating the material: special imported binder fabrics in plain color, white paper, cardboard  for the covers ..... and one Italian paper, all decorated, wonderful, that Gabi brought from Italy when she was there last year.



Then I sit and stare at the stuff, the ideas begin to sprout, grab a paper and start drawing what would be the little book that is in my imagination ..... modify the measures, redo some ....I remember some Italian booklets that are sold in many shops in Florence and that can be seen on the websites, they are an inspiration.



What's gonna happen?

Once finished, I'll show you!

A Viagem (7): Um giro por Paris (A ride in Paris - The Trip)

Olá!

Vamos sair um pouco do Palácio de Versalles e voltar a Paris!

Paris é uma cidade onde se vê de tudo!

 Eu estava na parte de cima de um ônibus (aqueles de 2 andares) quando vi a cena da foto acima: uma porção de "chefs" atravessando a rua bem em frente ao Cafe de la Paix e a animação deles era grande.

O Cafe de la Paix é tão famoso quanto antigo, foi aberto em  1862 e recebe clientes ilustres e famosos. Também é mencionado em romances e aparece em pinturas de diversos artistas.

Let's get out of the Palace of Versailles and return to Paris!

Paris is a city where you see everything!

  I was on top of a bus (those that have 2 floors) when I saw the scene pictured above: a lot of "chefs" crossing the street right in front of the Cafe de la Paix and they seemed very happy.

The Cafe de la Paix is as famous as old, was opened in 1862 and welcomes illustrious and famous guests . It is also mentioned in novels and appears in paintings by various artists.

O Cafe fica na esquina da  Boulevard des Capucines e dele podemos ver o Palais Garnier, que é a Ópera de Paris. Na foto abaixo podemos ver o Cafe à esquerda e a Ópera à direita.

The cafe is on the corner of the Boulevard des Capucines and near there we can see the Palais Garnier, which is the Paris Opera. In the photo below you can see the Cafe on the left and the Opera on the right.

Aliás, o que não falta em Paris são cafés, praticamente um em cada esquina e cada um mais bonito do que o outro. Muitos tem mesas do lado de fora e podemos sentar e observar a vida em Paris, ver o tempo passar...

By the way, there is no shortage oj cafés in Paris, there is one on every corner and each more beautiful than the other. Many have tables outside and we can sit and observe life in Paris, seeing time pass ...

Uma coisa que vi e me chamou a atenção logo que cheguei a paris foram os corvos, está cheio deles por la e acho que aqui no Brasil não temos nenhum ou temos? Nunca ouvi falar de corvos aqui no Brasil, só se tiver no interior porque aqui no Rio não há, uma pena.



Gosto deles! São inteligentes, e se não tomarmos cuidado pegam o sanduiche da nossa mão....danadinhos que são!

One thing I saw and caught my attention as soon as I arrived in Paris were the ravens, for it is full of them and I think that here in Brazil we don't have these birds, do we? Never heard of crows here in Brazil, maybe we have them in the country but not here in Rio.

I like them! They are intelligent, and if we are not careful they take the sandwich of our hand .... so cute they are!
