Lindinha a Sininho, né?

Ela está no Museu de cera de Madame Tussauds, em Londres que fica na esquina da Rua Marylebone, junto com vários outros personagens de ficção e personalidades reais também.

Os bonecos de cera do museu são perfeitos, detalhados, em tamanho real, verdadeiras obras de arte!

O da foto abaixo é James Bond com o ator Daniel Craig.

Cute Tinker Bell, isn't she?

She is in the wax museum of Madame Tussauds, in London on the corner of Marylebone Rd,  along with several other fictional characters and real personalities too.

The waxworks museum are perfect, detailed, full-size, real works of art!

Ah, já ia esquecendo de mostrar o Museu, é este da foto abaixo; mas esta foto não é minha porque quando fui tirar foto do lado de fora do  museu a bateria da máquina acabou!

Oh, I almost forgot to show the Museum, it is this one in the photo below, but this picture is not mine because when I was going to shoot  showing the outside,  the machine's battery was over !

Livro Russo (Russian Book) 2

Olá!

Lembra do outro Livro Russo que fiz? Não? É este aqui.

Agora fiz outro para a mesma pessoa, só que desta vez é um livro mais elaborado. 

A capa frontal é em tecido holandês bordô e tem um brasão (será Russo?) que o futuro dono me deu pra colar em alto relevo.

Remember the other Russian Book I made before? No? It's this here.

Now I've made another one for the same person, only this time the book is more elaborated.

The front cover is in Dutch fabric and has a burgundy coat (Russian?) that the future owner gave me to paste embossed.

Para unir a capa à lombada fiz uma costura diamante tripla, com linha encerada preta.

To attach the cover to the spine I made a triple diamond stitching with black waxed thread.

A capa posterior e a lombada são em courino bordô com manchas marrons.

The back cover and spine are in burgundy courino (artificial leather) with brown spots.

Tem aproximadamente 21cm de base por 26 cm de altura, o miolo tem 200 folhas em papel Color Plus marfim 120g/m².

It has approximately 21cm of base and 26 cm high, with 200 sheets of ivory Color Plus paper 120g / m².

O marcador é em fita de cetim preta.

The marker is in black satin ribbon.

É um livro para estudos, será escrito em Russo. Que chique, né? Amei!

O Palácio guarda muitos móveis e objetos de séculos passados, alguns salões perfeitamente preservados como eram nessas épocas.

Em outros salões já se vê parte da modernidade atual com um leve toque de arte, como o das 2 fotos abaixo, com móbiles de pássaros e garrafas de vidro.

Continuing our  Thursdays posts, today we have the last post about Kensington Palace.

The palace holds many furniture and objects from past centuries, some salons are perfectly preserved as they were in those times.

In others we may already see part of the current modernity with a touch of art, like the two photos below, with mobiles of birds and glass bottles.

Já nestas 2 fotos abaixo vemos 2 vestidos de Louisa, a Duquesa de Devonshire, de 1897. São vestidos pequenos e pra pessoas de baixa estatura.

In these two photos below we see two dresses worn by Louisa, Duchess of Devonshire, 1897. They're small and  for short people.

Aqui, a família real representada em um teatro de bonecos.

Here, the royal family represented in a puppet theater.

Sexta-feira 13, um dia de sorte! (Friday the 13th, a lucky day!)

Olá, hoje é sexta-feira 13, dia de sorte!



A superstição de que é um dia de azar começou bem antes de Cristo (com seus 13 apóstolos) em várias culturas especialmente na nórdica e na européia e até hoje ainda existem pessoas que acreditam nela.



Mas não vou descrever aqui as superstições tidas como "azarentas" mas sim mostrar que em muitos lugares é o contrário: é dia de festa e de comemorações!



Em Portugal, por exemplo,  muitas cidades e vilas fazem festa como nas cidades de Montalegre e Trás-os-Montes com a presença de bruxos, bruxas, feitiços e um pouco de teatro.



Já em outras cidades portuguesas as pessoas se reunem em volta de fogueiras e em banquetes, mas a maior parte das cidades que festejam a data contam com a presença do povo mágico!



Eu faço parte da turma que festeja a data, que adora gatos pretos e Halloween!



Sabe o que significa um gato preto cruzando o seu caminho?  Significa  apenas que você e o gato estavam próximos, e ele está indo pra algum lugar e só, apenas isso!



Que a sorte seja amiga de todos nós!

Hello, today is Friday the 13th, a lucky day!



The superstition that is an unlucky day started well before Christ (with his 13 apostles) in various cultures especially in the Nordic and European and even today there are still people who believe it.



But I will not describe the superstitions regarded as "unlucky" but show that in many places is the opposite: it is the day of celebration and parties!



In Portugal, for example many cities and towns have parties, like the cities of Montalegre and Tras-os-Montes with the presence of wizards, witches, spells and a bit of theater.



Already in other Portuguese cities people gather around bonfires and banquets, but most of the towns that celebrate the date rely on the presence of magical people!



I'm part of the group that celebrates the date and loves black cats and Halloween!



Do you know what means a black cat crossing your path? It just means that you and the cat were near, and the cat is going  somewhere and just, just that!

Parece uma simples cadeira mas foi nela que a Rainha Vitória sentou algumas vezes, a tapeçaria atrás dela é linda.

It seems like a simple chair but it was Queen Victoria who sat on that sometimes; the tapestry behind it is amazing.

O teto também é um espetáculo á parte; bem conservado e luxuoso.

The ceiling is also a spectacle; well maintained and luxurious.

Olhem o que eu achei: um livro parecido com os Livros Antigos que gosto de fazer, claro que não perdi a chance e fotografei!

Aliás, os meus são mais bonitos, né?

Look what I've found: a book like the Old Books I like to do, of course I did not miss the chance and photographed!

By the way, mine are nicer, aren't they?

Em alguns salões do Palácio de kensington  há uma exposição de época onde colocaram vários objetos iguais e juntos, formando uma espécie de cenário.

In some halls of Kensington Palace there's an exhibition season where  various alike objects were put together, forming a kind of scenario.



                           

Haviam várias cadeiras pequenas, de criança; devem ter sido usadas em tempos antigos.

There were several small chairs,  must have been used by children in ancient times.

Hoje o post foi pequeno, semana que vem faço um post com mais fotos. Aliás, as fotos de viagens estão aumentando! Acabei de chegar de uma aos EUA e vou mostrar também, mas só depois que acabar todas as fotos do Reino Unido.

De volta do Tio Sam (Back from Uncle Sam!)

Aqui estou de volta das terras do Tio Sam e adorei a viagem, foi produtiva e divertida!



Vou mostrando as fotos nas postagens das quintas-feiras sobre as viagens que faço de vez em quando.

Here I am back from the land of Uncle Sam and just loved the trip, it was productive and fun!



I will show the photos in the Thursdays posts about the trips I do from time to time.



Changing the subject a bit .... have you seen the new format of Estúdio Brigit's sales site?



Became more "clean" and now I have 3 seals of companies that certify the safety browse and shop on it: Google itself, Norton and SSL. Loved it!
