A Viagem (54): Windsor (The Trip: Windsor)

Olá!

Hoje foi dia de pegar o trem e ir à pequena cidade de Windsor  no condado de Berkshire, onde fica o Castelo de Windsor.

Na verdade, é um Palácio Real que junto com o Palácio de Buckinham em Londres e o Palácio de Holyrood em Edimburg, é a residência oficial da Família Real nos fins de semana e férias.

Mas quando saímos do trem o que vemos é uma cidade pequena, linda, aconchegante, com pubs medievais e construções também medievais!

O aroma de comida também é permanente pois as pequenas ruas são lotadas de casebres e pubs que também ficam lotados de turistas.

Hello! 

Today was the day to catch the train and go to the small town of Windsor in Berkshire County, to visit the Windsor Castle. 

In fact, it is a royal palace and  along with Buckingham Palace in London and Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh, is the official residence of the royal family on weekends and holidays. 

But when we left the train what we see is a small, beautiful, cozy town with medieval pubs and also medieval buildings! 

The aroma of food is also permanent because the streets are crowded with small shacks and pubs that are also loaded with tourists.

Parece que todo o comércio local é em função do castelo e da realeza, e as pessoas são alegres e educadas. O nacionalismo também está muito presente e qualquer carro com vidros escuros e escolta pode significar a presença de um membro da realeza se aproximando......talvez da própria Rainha.

It seems that all the local trade is a function of the castle and the royalty, and people are cheerful and polite. Nationalism is also very present and any car with tinted windows being escorted can mean the presence of a member of royalty approaching ...... perhaps the Queen herself.

A paisagem é linda, as residências e o comércio á beira do rio dão um ar de segurança quando olhamos....parece que nada que esteja fora de ordem pode acontecer aqui.

The scenery is stunning, the houses and the river trade give an air of security when we look .... seems that nothing out of order can happen here.

Semana que vem mostro o castelo por dentro, é o maior castelo ocupado do mundo e os funcionários moram dentro dele.
