Uma das rainhas mais famosas que fez do Castelo de Windsor sua principal residência foi a Rainha Victoria que mesmo após a morte do Príncipe Albert continuou morando no castelo até morrer. O Príncipe foi sepultado num lugar chamado "Home Park", dentro do castelo.
