Estamos na época mais bonita do ano: Natal!

Sei que não temos neve no Brasil, apenas frio e geada no sul do país mas mesmo assim gosto de representar o Natal com bonecos de neve porque morei  num país onde nevava bastante no inverno; era abrir a porta de manhã e a neve estava na metade da porta, mas já havia uma pá ao lado da porta pra tirar aquele volume de gelo da porta e da frente da casa.



Então, fiz esta arte de Natal e mostrei como fiz no vídeo logo abaixo das fotos.

We are in the most beautiful time of year: Christmas!

I know we do not have snow in Brazil, only cold and frost in the south but I still like to represent Christmas with snowmen because I have lived in a country where it snowed every winter; It was to open the door in the morning and the snow was halfway through the door, but we had a shovel next to get that volume of ice away from the path.

So I made this Christmas art and showed how I did it in the video just below the photos.



There is no need to translate the list of materials because just a few are made in Brazil and almost all come from other countries, so, get inspired, it is good for the heart.

Este ano foi o das imagens,  todas de santos, e aqui está mais uma de São Judas Tadeu.



É em gesso com aplicação de técnica de decoupage florido.

Tem aproximadamente 20 cm de altura e 200 gramas de peso.



Acho que a moda de imagens em Decoupage chegou e ficou!

It is in plaster with technical application of floral decoupage.

It is approximately 20 cm in height and 200 grams in weight.

I think the fashion images with the  Decoupage technique  came to stay!

A Viagem (94): Pelas ruas de Londres (The streets of London...)

Olá! 



Faz semanas que não mostro mais sobre Londres mas tenho andado muito ocupada  porque mês que vem já é Natal, então preciso fechar o ano com todas as encomendas em dia e entregues no prazo certo.



Mas vamos, lá, hoje é dia de dar um passeio pelas ruas de Londres e o que me chamou a atenção foi a loja de material artístico da foto acima: foi paixão á primeira vista!

Tem de tudo, mas tudo que eu gosto e quero e mais um pouco: tintas, canetas, lápis pincéis, crayons, colas, tesouras, adesivos, maletas, paletas, cortadores.....tudo, tudo tudo!



E o bom é que vi essa loja em alguns bairros, sempre lotada de gente querendo fazer arte!

It's been weeks since my last post about London,  but I have been very busy because next month is already Christmas, so I need to close the year with all orders delivered in time and on schedule.

But let's go,  today is a day of strolling through the streets of London and what caught my attention was the art supply store in the  photo above: it was love at first sight!

It has everything, but everything I like and want and a lot more: paints, pens, pencils, brushes, crayons, glue, scissors, stickers, bags, pallets, cutters ..... everything, everything, everything!

And the good thing is that I saw this shop in some neighborhoods, always crowded with people wanting to make art!

E falando de arte, entrei numa loja de brinquedos linda, em Piccadilly! Os jacarés das fotos parecem de verdade e se movimentam.



Essa loja, sem dúvida, é o sonho de qualquer criança....é o meu sonho!



Foi uma tarde feliz, além destas duas lojas que amei, existem outras bem interessantes mas lotadas de turistas.

Ô povo que gosta de passear hein!

And speaking of art, I have entered a beautiful toy store, in Piccadilly! The alligator in the  photos looked real and moved the head.



This store, of course, is the dream of every child .... it is my dream!



It was a happy evening, besides these two stores that I loved, there are others very interesting but crowded with tourists.

Omg, people love strolling, don't they?

Mede 24cm de altura x 33cm de comprimento e o fechamento é feito com elástico e botão que você pode regular quando o arquivo ficar mais "gordinho".
It measures 24cm high x 33cm long and the closing is done with elastic and button that you can adjust when the file becomes more "chubby".

Ele tem envelopes de papel kraft para cada letra do alfabeto, assim você pode organizar seus papéis muito melhor, por ordem alfabética.
It has envelopes for each letter of the alphabet, so you can better organize your  papers in alphabetical order.

Hoje é dia 16 de novembro, falta um pouco mais de 1 mês pro Natal, e você já pensou nas comemorações? E nos presentes?

Cada ano que passa acho mais complicado pra dar presentes: ou porque não temos mais ideias do que dar, ou porque são muitos presentes e o orçamento está curto.

Uma boa opção é dar presentes que sejam duráveis, que permaneçam um bom tempo na companhia do presenteado.

Esta imagem em gesso foi decorada com a técnica de Decoupage, além de pinturas em algumas partes.  Representa a Sagrada Família, muito apropriada para o Natal, e pode ser dada a uma família como presente, ou a um casal.

Today is November 16th, lack a little over one month for Christmas, have you thought about the celebrations? And about Christmas gifts?



Every year I find  it difficult to give gifts: or because  I have no  more ideas of what to give, or because I have  many people to give gifts and the budget is short.



A good option is to give gifts that are durable, they remain a good time in the company of the person who had received the gift.



This plaster was decorated with the decoupage technique, and paintings in some parts. It is the Holy Family, very suitable for Christmas, and can be given to a family as a gift, or to a couple.

Sexta-feita 13 e 13 fatos! (Friday the 13th and 13 Facts!)

1- Pouco se sabe sobre a origem de dizer que sexta-feira 13 dá azar.

Historiadores dizem que a superstição começou no século 19, e a primeira vez que a data aparece é na biografia do compositor italiano Gioachino Rossini que morreu em uma sexta-feira 13.

Mas muitas pessoas acreditam que a origem é bíblica porque Jesus foi crucificado numa sexta-feira 13 e eram 13 os apóstolos da Última Ceia.



2- O medo dessa data é real, muitas pessoas tem medo sim! Esse medo é chamado cientificamente de friggatriskaidekaphobia ou paraskevidekatriaphobia.



3- O medo da data afeta milhões de pessoas e também de empresas que deixam de faturar no dia, como é o caso de empresas aéreas que tem uma relevante queda nas vendas.



4- Todos os anos temos pelo menos uma sexta-feira 13, mas podemos ter até 3 por ano.



5- Para ter uma sexta-feira 13 o mês precisa começar num Domingo.



6- Se o ano comum (365 dias) começar em uma terça-feira, os meses de Fevereiro, Março e Novembro terão sexta-feiras 13, e isso acontecerá 11 vezes no século atual.

O sistema Fevereiro -  Março -  Novembro acontece a cada 28 anos e o próximo será em 2016.



7- Até nos anos bissextos.

Três sextas-feiras 13 podem acontecer num ano bissexto. Se o dia 1º de Janeiro de um ano bissexto ocorrer num Domingo, os meses de Janeiro, Abril e Julho terão sextas-feiras 13. Acontecerá novamente em 2040, ou seja, de 28 em 28 anos.

Gente, Novembro  tá voando, mês que vem é Natal, uma data que também gosto e depois....férias!



Já mostrei pastas parecidas com estas aqui no estúdio, todas tem o mesmo tamanho porque são para guardar papéis tamanho ofício por isso  medem 40,5cm de comprimento x 24cm de altura. O fechamento é com elástico ajustável conforme a pasta for "engordando".

November is flying, next month is Christmas, a date that I love and then .... vacation!



I have shown folders similar to these, here in the studio, all with the same size as they are to hold legal-sized papers so each one  measures 40,5cm long x 24cm tall. The closure is with elastic adjustable as the folder gets "fatter".

Por dentro há um sistema de sanfonas que permite separar os papéis por assunto.

Inside there is a bellows system that allows you to separate the roles by subject.

Além da decoupage no manto também pintei alguns detalhes com tinta prata.



Mede 20cm de altura e pesa cerca de 300 gramas. Este é um entre os 5 modelos que fiz para a Itália, será que vão gostar? Tomara, né!

Besides the decoupage on the mantle I have also painted some details with silver paint.

Measures 20cm tall and weighs approximately 300 grams. This is one of the five models going to Italy.

A capa frontal é em tecido holandês vinho. 

Ele mede 13cm x 22cm e tem 120 folhas envelhecidas (240 páginas).

The front cover is in Dutch wine tissue.
It measures 13cm x 22cm and has  120 aged sheets  (240 pages).

A forração das capas foi feita com papel também envelhecido; marcador de página envelhecido também.

The lining of the covers was also made with aged paper; aged bookmark as well.

Nas primeiras folhas há uma poesia, uma história....que leva a um coração onde será colocado um anel, uma aliança.....

In the first pages there is a poem, a story .... which leads to heart where a ring is placed, a wedding ring.....

A capa posterior é em courino vinho envelhecido.

The back cover is in wine artificial leather ..
