A Viagem (133): Edimburgo (The Trip: Edinburgh)

Agora sim, em plena segunda-feira poder andar pelas ruas de Edimburgh e suas construções centenárias, seus pubs, suas lojas nem sempre enormes mas aconchegantes.....

Now, in the middle of Monday, walking through the streets of Edimburgh and its centennial buildings, its pubs, its shops not always huge but cozy .....

 A Catedral de St. Giles na fotos abaixo, a rua de pedestres, tudo isso bem perto do castelo. Gosto de andar a pé, ver tudo, "sentir" a cidade, seus costumes, suas comidas, suas tradições.....ah como eu adoro Edimburgh!

Vou ficar um bom tempo mostrando fotos deste lugar!

The St. Giles' Cathedral  in the pictures below, the pedestrian street, all right near the castle. I like to walk, see everything, "feel" the city, its customs, its food, its traditions ..... ah how I love Edimburgh!

Nossa Sra da Aparecida (Gesso) - (Our Lady Aparecida) - VIDEO

Olá!

Hoje apresento esta Nossa Sra. da Aparecida, em gesso, com decoração feita com decoupage, pintura, pérolas e strass.......e o detalhe é que ela mede cerca de 14cm de altura, pequena e linda!

Escolhi as cores tradicionais da santa que são o azul do manto, o marrom da túnica e do rosto pois ela é de madeira e algumas partes douradas.

Essa imagem em gesso branco foi mandada aqui pro Estúdio Brigit pela loja de Gessos VIA LUMINA, que tem várias imagens em branco para a alegria de todo o artesão!

Eles mandam pelo Correio para o Brasil inteiro, pode isso? Eu adorei, e tenho mais 2 imagens pra mostrar nas próximas semanas, mas agora dá uma olhadinha no vídeo e veja como eu fiz esta imagem.



Lista de Material:



- uma imagem previamente lixada e preparada com base pra Gesso (Aquabase pra Gesso) ou com base para artesanato ou com goma laca incolor;

- tinta acrílica azul marinho, terra de siena queimada, sombra queimada;

- purpurina dourada dissolvida em verniz;

- aguarrás pra limpar o pincel de purpurina;

- guardanapo em tom azul;

- cola pra decoupage;

- pincel para cola, para as tintas e para a purpurina;

- um pedaço de feltro;

- meias pérolas bem pequenas;

- pedras strass em cor azul.

- cola para as pedras, pode ser a de contato rápida ou a cola de silicone incolor para as pedras.

Today I present this Our Lady of Aparecida, in plaster, with decoration made with decoupage, painting, pearls and rhinestones ....... and the detail is that it measures about 14cm tall, small and beautiful!



I have chosen the traditional colors of the saint which are the blue of the robe, the brown of the tunic and the face, because it is made of wood, and some gold parts.



This white plaster image was sent here to Estúdio Brigit  by the VIA LUMINA plaster store, which has several blank images for the joy of every craftsgirl!



They send to the whole country. I loved it, and I have 2 more images to show in the next few weeks, but now take a look at the video and see how I made this image.

Outra imagem em gesso com a técnica de Decoupage e desta vez é Santa Bárbara, protetora contras os raios e as tempestades.

Another image in plaster with the technique of Decoupage and this time is Santa Bárbara, protector against the rays and the storms.

Ele mede aproximadamente 25cm de altura e além de decoupar com guardanapos floridos usei tintas e strass pra destacar os detalhes.

It measures approximately 25cm in height and besides the decoupage with flowered napkins I used paints and rhinestones to highlight the details.

Até na torre usei guardanapos floridos sobrepostos e pasta metálica em alguns objetos.

Even in the tower I have used overlapping flowery napkins, and metal paste on some objects.

Olá!

Isso é uma visão magnífica: a do castelo de Edimburgo. Uma fortaleza erguida em cima de uma pedra com visão pra cidade inteira.

Mas vamos explorar as ruas embaixo antes de ir ao castelo. Claro que é uma cidade antiga então as construções são antigas e revelam muito sobre a civilização e a fundação da cidade.

What a magnificent sight: the Edinburgh Castle! A fortress erected on top of a stone with a view of the whole city.

But let's explore the streets below before going to the castle. Of course it is an old city so the buildings are old and reveal a lot about the civilization and the foundation of the city.

São monumentos, igrejas, museus......um mar de cultura e história pra quem quiser saber mais dessa linda cidade.

There are monuments, churches, museums ...... a sea of culture and history for those who want to know more about this beautiful city.

E agora, é hora do almoço, escolher um pub e ver o que tem de bom pra comer!

Este livro foi feito sob  encomenda e o tema é o Jogo de Xadrez. 

Pensei, pensei....por que não fazer o livro sendo um tabuleiro de Xadrez verdadeiro? E foi o que eu fiz!

Este Livro Jogo de Xadrez é um livro com costura Copta, um pouco maior que o tamanho de uma folha A4 quando fechado, cerca de 30,5 x 21,5cm, e possui 30 folhas brancas offset, 120g/m².

This book was made by order and the  theme is the Chess Game.

So I thought, .... why not making the book a real chess board? And that's what I did!

This Chess Game Book is a book with Coptic stitching, slightly larger than the size of an A4 sheet when closed, about 30.5 x 21.5cm, and features 30 white sheets, 120g / m².

Como a costura Copta permite uma abertura perfeita de 180º, quando aberto o livro vira um tabuleiro de xadrez perfeito!

Intercalei tecido holandês preto e bege para fazer as casas, e coloquei peças com ímã pra evitar que  as peças caiam quando as pessoas estiverem jogando.

As the Coptic stitching allows a perfect opening of 180º, when opening the book it becomes a perfect chessboard!

I have crossed black and beige Dutch fabric to make the houses, and  put pieces with a magnet to keep them safe from falling when people are playing.

Junto com o livro mandei 2 peças a mais para reposição no caso de perda e também mandei as Regras do Jogo de Xadrez.

Along with the book I sent 2 more pieces for replacement in case of loss and I also sent the Rules of the Game of Chess.

Acho que ficou ótimo, mas sou suspeita pra falar, né?

A Viagem (131): Chegando em Edimburgo (The Trip: Arriving in Edinburgh)

Chegando em Edinburgh a melhor opção foi alugar um apartamento e este aqui foi bem na frente de um rio, com esses barcos lindos, compridos que servem de casa pra muitas famílias. Também e possível pagar pra dar um passeio neles.

Arriving in Edinburgh the best option was to rent an apartment and this one was right in front of a river, with these beautiful, long boats that serve as home for many families. We can also pay to take a ride on them.

O apartamento é bonito, prático, novo, bem equipado, e mais barato do que um hotel convencional no mesmo padrão.

Há serviço de limpeza porque na verdade é como se fosse um flat aqui do Brasil,ou seja, um apartamento com alguns serviços de hotel.

The apartment is beautiful, practical, new, well equipped, and cheaper than a conventional hotel in the same standard.



There is a cleaning service because it is really like a flat here in Brazil, that is, an apartment with some hotel services.

Uma coisa interessante é o sistema anti fogo .....se queimar um pedaço de pão na torradeira o alarme é acionado e já vem alguém perguntar se está tudo bem e querendo apagar o incêndio....mas eles estão certos, tudo pela segurança!

An interesting thing is the anti-fire system ..... if you burn a piece of bread in the toaster the alarm is triggered and someone will come and ask if everything is fine and wanting to put out the fire .... but they are right, safety first!

Confortável e com uma pequena varanda com vista para o cais, que mais eu podia querer?

Além disso estar em Edimburgo.....é um sonho.

Comfortable and with a small balcony overlooking the pier, what more could I want?

Gesso de Textura, como fazer? - DIY (Texture Gesso)

Olá!



Ano passado mostrei como fazer alguns tipos de Gesso Acrílico em casa e faltou mostrar como fazer o Gesso de Textura então aqui está o vídeo, e a Lista de Material abaixo.



Existem várias fórmulas e o que diferencia entre elas é a quantidade de material, mas é basicamente a mesma fórmula em todas.



Vou deixar aqui 3 Listas de Material pra vocês escolherem qual das fórmulas querem fazer!

Last year I showed how to make some types of  Acrylic Gesso at home but I did not show how to make Texture Gesso, so here is the video and the List of Material below.



There are several formulas and what differentiates between them is the amount of material, but it is basically the same formula in all.

I'll leave here 3 Lists  so you can choose which formulas you prefer!

Você pode usar uma xícara, um copo, uma tampa, etc.....como medidor.

You can use a cup, a lid, etc ..... as meter.



Lista de Material 1: 



- 1 medida de talco infantil ou gesso;

- 1/2 medida de gesso acrílico já pronto;

- 1/4 de medida de cola branca;

- um pouquinho (bem pouco) de água apenas pra conseguir mexer melhor a pasta;

- um vidro ou pote plástico com tampa;

- uma colher ou espátula para mexer a mistura.

 List 1:

- 1 measure of infant powder or plaster;

- 1/2 measure of ready-made acrylic plaster;

- 1/4 measure of white glue;

- a little bit of water just to mix the pasta better;

- a  glass jar or pot with a lid;

- a spoon or spatula to stir the mixture.



Note: you can use a cup, a glass, a cap, etc ..... to measure



Lista de Material 2: 



- 1 medida de talco infantil;

- 1/2 medida de Gesso Acrílico já pronto;

- 1/4 de medida de Modge Podge ou de cola para Decoupage;

- um vidro ou pote plástico com tampa;

- uma colher ou espátula para mexer a mistura.

List 2:

- 1 measure of infant powder or plaster;

- 1/2 measure of ready-made acrylic plaster;

- 1/4 measure of Modge Podge or Glue for Decoupage;

- a  glass jar or pot with a lid;

- a spoon or spatula to stir the mixture.



Lista de Material 3:



- 1 a  1 1/2 medida de talco infantil;

- 1/2 medida de Gesso comum;

- 1/4 de medida de Modge Podge ou cola para Decoupage;

- 1/2 medida de tinta acrílica branca;

- um vidro ou pote plástico com tampa;

- uma colher ou espátula para mexer a mistura.

List 3:

- 1 to 1 1/2measure of infant powder or plaster;

- 1/2 measure of  plaster powder;

- 1/4 measure of Modge Podge or Glue for Decoupage;

- 1/2 measure of white acrylic paint;

- a  glass jar or pot with a lid;

- a spoon or spatula to stir the mixture.





Como fazer:



Misture os materiais diretamente dentro do recipiente, começando pelos materiais secos e adicionando o restante aos poucos, mexendo bem até que a massa fique homogênea. Guarde em recipiente fechado.

Se a massa ficar dura demais, acrescente gotas de água ou de cola para decoupage e mexa até ficar na  consistência desejada.

Se a massa ficar mole demais, acrescente talco ou gesso aos poucos e mexa até ficar na  consistência desejada.

A consistência ideal é de um creme macio mas firme, que não pode escorrer da colher.

How to make:

Mix the materials directly into the container, starting with the dry materials and adding the rest gradually, stirring well until the dough is homogeneous. Store in a closed container.

If the dough becomes too hard, add drops of water or glue for decoupage and stir until the desired consistency is achieved.

If the dough becomes too soft, add a little more of baby powder or gesso and stir until it gets the desired consistency.

The ideal consistency is a soft but firm cream that can not drain from a spoon.

The Estúdio Brigit is back and to start 2017 in a good way, the first official post is to show this Archangel Michael, an image in plaster of approximately 30cm, decorated with the technique of Decoupage, in addition to painted parts and rhinestones.

As asas são enormes, lindas e com muito brilho.

The wings are huge, beautiful and very bright.

Durante as férias do Estúdio Brigit tivemos alguns vídeos no YouTube, no mês de fevereiro, onde respondo perguntas relativas a artesanato e a assuntos gerais.

Many people want to know, they send me e-mails, contact me by FaceBook ..... so where to buy?



Recentemente recebi 3 imagens em gesso branco e fiquei surpresa com os detalhes de cada imagem: coisas como arabescos, detalhes nas roupas.....nem sempre conseguimos achar imagens assim.

Recently I've received 3 images in white plaster and I was surprised with the details of each image: things like arabesques, details on the clothes ..... we can not always find images like these.



Quem mandou as 3 imagens de presente aqui pro Estúdio Brigit foi a Camila Napolitano da loja Via Lumina, especializada em imagens de gesso católicas, mas também tem outras lá que não são especificamente católicas, adorei!

The 3 images were sent to me, as a gift,  by  Camila Napolitano from the Via Lumina store, specialized in Catholic  images, but there are also other ones there that are not specifically Catholic, I loved them!

This is the train route to Edinburgh, from Glasgow.

A viagem é linda, não me canso de dizer que a Escócia é um dos países mais bonitos do mundo! 

Tem sempre castelos e  construções antigas por onde passamos, o povo é alegre e gosta de turistas.

The trip is beautiful, I am never tired of saying that Scotland is one of the most beautiful countries in the world!

There are always castles and old buildings where we have passed, the people are cheerful and like tourists.

Até as pequenas estações de trem tem seu charme, e tudo com muito verde à volta.

Even the small train stations have their charm, and everything with a lot of green surrounding .

É uma viagem tranquila, confortável, mas nem penso em dormir e perder a paisagem! 

Cada minuto com os olhos abertos é precioso, é um aprendizado em tradição e em preservação da história do país.

It's a quiet, comfortable trip, but I do not even think about sleeping and losing the scenery!

Every minute with open eyes is precious, it is a learning in tradition and in preservation of the history of the country.
