A Viagem (164): A casa da Rainha na Escócia! (The Trip: The Queen's house in Scotland!)

Ah, hoje tenho algumas fotos da residência oficial da  rainha quando vai à Escócia: o Palácio de Holyrood.

Fundado em 1128 como mosteiro, desde o século XV tornou-se a residência dos reis e rainhas na Escócia e atualmente a Rainha Elizabeth fica cerca de uma semana nele, no começo do Verão.

Oh, today I have some pictures of the queen's official residence when she goes to Scotland: Holyrood Palace.

Founded in 1128 as a monastery, since the 15th century it has become the residence of kings and queens in Scotland and currently Queen Elizabeth stays for about a week in it at the beginning of summer.

Fica aberto o ano inteiro mas apenas algumas alas podem ser visitadas, e já hospedou pessoas famosas como Nelson Mandela, Vladimir Putin e o Papa Bento XVI, entre outros.



Andei primeiro pela propriedade, é de uma paz, um silêncio indescritível. Depois entrei, e segui a ordem de visitação que há no interior. É um palácio enorme, acredito que se visitei 10% dele foi muito.

It is open all year round but only a few rooms can be visited, and it has hosted famous people like Nelson Mandela, Vladimir Putin and Pope Benedict XVI, among others.

I walked first by the property, a feeling of  peace, an indescribable silence. Then I entered, and followed the order of visitation that there is in the interior. It is a huge palace, I believe if I visited 10% of it was a lot.

 O Palácio fica no fim da Royal Mile, em frente ao Parlamento escocês e bem perto do museu Our Dynamic Earth.

Na verdade eu andava pela Royal Mile todos os dias, do começo ao fim, conhecia cada loja, cada beco, cada pub. Tudo gravado em minha mente, todos os lugares por onde andei, era como se eu tivesse nascido e vivido ali por toda a minha vida.

The Palace sits at the end of the Royal Mile, opposite the Scottish Parliament and very close to the Our Dynamic Earth museum.

I actually walked the Royal Mile every day, from start to finish, I knew every shop, every alley, every pub. Everything engraved in my mind, everywhere I walked, it was as if I had been born and lived there all my life.

Objetos de arte, brasões, armaduras, livros, móveis, vestidos, mobília, sapatos, chapéus, objetos particulares, quadros, tapetes, pinturas.....tudo isso mostra como era a vida dos escoceses de outros séculos, como era o reinado de reis e rainhas que viveram no lugar.
Meus olhos percorrem tudo, registram tudo!

Objects of art, coats, armor, books, furniture, dresses, furniture, shoes, hats, private objects, paintings, carpets..... all this shows what life was like for the Scots of other centuries, of kings and queens who lived in the place.

My eyes run through everything, record everything!
