Olá, amores!



No vídeo abaixo eu mostro como fazer botões e plaquinhas artesanais que podem ser usados em tags, marcadores de página, fechamento de envelopes e pastas, fechamentos de Junk Journals, e embelezamento de papéis no geral, tudo que a imaginação criar!



A diferença entre o botão e a plaquinha é que o botão tem furos, então se você quiser fazer uma plaquinha é só não fazer furos no papel.



Basicamente o que precisamos é de vários papéis com formatos/desenhos exatamente iguais então podemos usar cortadores de papel e também podemos usar facas da Sizzix pra cortar o papel no formato desejado.

Podem ser formatos de círculo, quadrado, retângulo mas também de árvores, peixes, bonecos, animais, flores, etc....o que quisermos, bastando apenas tomar cuidado em verificar se nosso desenho tem espaço suficiente pra ter 2 furos caso seja pra fazer botão.

In the video below I show you how to make handmade buttons and inserts that can be used in tags, page markers, envelopes and folders closing, Junk Journals closures, and paper embellishment in general, everything the imagination creates!

The difference between the button and the plate is that the button has holes, so if you want to make a plate  just do not  make holes in the paper.

Basically we need several paper cuts with exactly the same shapes / designs so we can use paper cutters and we can also use Sizzix to cut the paper into the desired format.

They can be shapes of circle, square, rectangle but also of trees, fish, puppets, animals, flowers, etc ... whatever we want, just be careful to check if the drawing has enough space to have 2 holes (for buttons).

Escolher um papel com boa gramatura também é importante, então sugiro papel 120g/m² que é vendido em papelarias em pacotes com 50 folhas.



Os cortes de papel são colados uns em cima dos outros pra formar o botão ou placa e depois de secos fazemos os 2 furos, se for o caso.

Os furos podem ser feitos com qualquer ferramenta, desde que sejam furos pequenos.

Choosing paper with a good weight is also important, so I suggest 120g / m² paper  that is sold in stationery in 50-sheet packages.

The paper cuts are glued one on top of the other to form the button or plate and after drying we make the 2 holes, if we are making buttons.

The holes can be made with any tool, as long as they are small holes.

E por fim, é preciso proteger nosso lindo trabalho com uma demão de cola pra decoupage. Depois que a cola secar, pode-se aplicar verniz, podem ser pintados, podemos colocar glitter, etc...

And finally, we need to protect our beautiful work with a coat of decoupage glue. After the glue dries, we can apply varnish or some paint, we can put glitter, etc ...

- vários cortes iguais de papel (de preferência branco) no formato desejado: círculos, quadrados, tipo selo, peixes, aves, árvores, chapéu, etc....;

- cola para decoupage;

- pincel para cola;

- furador de papel com orifício pequeno para fazer os furos do botão;

- guardanapo para fazer decoupage;

- agulha grande;

- tesoura;

- um pedaço pequeno de plástico;

- dobradeira;

- lixa (pode ser de unhas);

- para o acabamento: cola pra decoupage, verniz, cola 3D, Modge Podge, etc...



Material:



- several equal cuts of paper (preferably white) in the desired format: circles, squares, seal type, fish, birds, trees, hat, etc ....;

- decoupage glue;

- glue brush;

- paper punch with small hole to make button holes;

- napkin to make decoupage;

- large needle;

- scissors;

- a small piece of plastic;

- folding;

- sandpaper;

- for the finishing: glue for decoupage, varnish, 3D glue, Modge Podge, etc ...

Como usar Cortador Mágico 360 & Dicas para Junks (Using 360 Magic Cutter & Tips for Junk Journals) - VÍDEO

Se tem uma coisa que gosto de usar nos meus JUNK JOURNALS são círculos porque além de usa-los no formato original também gosto de transforma-los em bolsos e cantoneiras, entre outras coisas.

Círculos perfeitos podem ser feitos com ferramentas manuais de corte e também com Sizzix ou outra ferramenta parecida.

No vídeo abaixo eu mostro como usar o Cortador Mágico 360, não sou representante da marca nem ganho nada mostrando como usa-lo, apenas acho uma ferramenta útil pra quem quer decorar livros e cadernos, sejam eles Junk Journals ou não.

 Uso círculos como stencil, como página de livro, como encaixe lateral pra papéis, como bolso, cantoneira, e até como enfeite de tarjas. Sempre acho algum uso a mais pra enfeitar meus livros e esses círculos são bem úteis por isso vale a pena ter um cortador circular.

I use circle as a stencil, as a book page, as a side insert for papers, such as a pocket, a corner, and even as a garland of embellishments. I always find some use to adorn my books and these circles are very useful so it is worth having a circular cutter.

Esta semana começa um Curso de JUNK JOURNAL no Canal do Estúdio Brigit no YouTube, e sabe usar algumas ferramentas é fundamental porque nem tudo pode ser feito sem elas.

Claro que podemos adaptar, por exemplo, existem círculos de papel que são usados sobre pratos de aniversários e se não tivermos cortador podemos comprar esses círculos. Mas o papel é mais fino, rasga com facilidade e não queremos isso então algum investimento, por menos que seja, tem que ser feito quando queremos fazer qualquer trabalho em Scrapbook.

 This week begins a JUNK JOURNAL Course on the Estúdio Brigit Channel on YouTube, and knowing how to use some tools is crucial because not  everything can not be done without them.

Como usar Crop-A-DILE + Dicas & TAG - (How to use Crop-A-DILE + Tips & TAG) - VÍDEO

Você talvez esteja pensando: "Mostrar como usar uma ferramenta Crop-A-Dile? Já tem muito vídeo mostrando como usar!"

É verdade, tem sim, mas é difícil ver um vídeo mostrando o tipo de ilhós que deve ser usado com essa ferramenta e se o ilhós não for adequado, ela não funciona!

Isso aconteceu comigo: comprei essa ferramenta e tentei usa-la com os ilhoses que já tenho e já uso faz anos. Só que meus ilhoses são usados com uma ferramenta manual, daquelas em que precisamos usar o martelo pra prender o ilhós, e meus ilhoses são duros, extremamente duros. 

Anos atrás comprei 2 sacos com mil ilhoses em cada um, de cores diferentes, e como não sabia que havia diferença entre ilhoses comprei o mais duro, provavelmente é o mais indicado pra trabalhos em couro, em sapatos, bolsas, etc...mas pra usar em papel esses ilhoses são terríveis porque não amassam! É preciso força nas marteladas pra conseguir um trabalho razoável com eles.

Então, tentei usar os ilhoses que eu tinha na minha Crop-A-Dile, claro que não consegui e ainda arrisquei danificar a ferramenta.

Vi vários vídeos, tanto em português quanto em inglês e espanhol pra tentar entender o que estava acontecendo, o que eu estava fazendo de errado, mas não achei a resposta.

Até que, olhando lojas online que vendem ilhós, percebi que muitas lojas especificavam ilhoses de alumínio pra alicates, de alumínio, ou seja, MACIOS! Era isso! Eu havia encontrado a resposta!

O alumínio é leve, fácil de ser amassado, então fiz o teste: comprei mais ilhoses mas desta vez, de alumínio, e deu certo!

Então, se você vai comprar uma ferramenta dessas ou se tem uma e "deixou de lado" porque não funcionou, taí a resposta.

No vídeo abaixo eu mostro como usar a Crop-A-Dile e na sequência mostro como fazer uma tag simples. A tag já é uma preparação para o Curso de JUNK JOURNAL que vou dar de presente a todos os meus seguidores lá do YouTube, você segue o estúdio lá, né?

You might be thinking, "Show me how to use a Crop-A-Dile tool? We already have lots of video showing how to use it!"

It's true, we have many videos on YouTube, but it is difficult to see a video showing the type of eyelets that should be used with this tool and if the eyelet is not suitable, it does not work!

This happened to me: I bought this tool and tried to use it with the eyelets I have been using for years. But my eyelets were used with a hand tool, those where we need to use the hammer to attach the eyelet, and my eyelets are hard, extremely hard.

Years ago I bought 2 bags with a thousand eyelets in each one of different colors,  I did not know that there was a difference between eyelets, I bought the hardest one, probably the best one for leatherwork, shoes, bags, etc ... but to use on paper these eyelets are terrible because they do not knead! It takes strength in hammering to get a reasonable job with them.

So I tried to use the eyelets I had on my Crop-A-Dile, of course I could not and still took the risk of damaging the tool.

I saw several videos, in Portuguese, English and Spanish to try to understand what was happening, what I was doing wrong, but I did not find the answer.

Looking at online stores that sell eyelets, I noticed that many stores specified aluminum eyelets for pliers, aluminum which is SOFT! That was it! I had found the answer!

The aluminum is lightweight, easy to knead, so I tested it: I bought more eyelets this time, made of aluminum, and it worked!

So if you are going to buy such a tool or if you have one and "set it aside" because it did not work, here's the answer.

Hoje recomeçamos com os vídeos semanais do estúdio mostrando como fazer um envelope "mágico", e por que "mágico"?

Porque ele pode esconder um pequeno papel em um lugar que ninguém vai perceber!



Pra começar é preciso de uma folha de papel no formato retangular e começa-se dobrando-a ao meio no sentido do comprimento, mas é melhor ver o vídeo que está logo abaixo das fotos, né?



Na verdade esse envelope é um origami, uma série de dobraduras que no final viram um envelope e eu gosto bastante de origamis, aliás, aprendi a fazer alguns quando era criança e nunca esqueci.

Como colocar tinta em carimbeira? (How to re-ink an ink pad?) - VÍDEO

Este é um vídeo que fiz a pedidos, desde o ano passado que penso em fazer mas apenas agora devido a uma pessoa que deixou um comentário lá no canal do estúdio no YouTube é que me lembrei, confesso que já havia esquecido!

Parece fácil, e realmente é, mas existem alguns "macetes" pra que, de fato, a tinta seja colocada de forma correta na carimbeira e bem usada quando  for preciso.

Primeiramente, minha sugestão é que não compre carimbeiras se não houver refil disponível pra venda, principalmente para carimbeiras importadas porque quando a tinta acaba não há mais como repor e por vezes quando recorremos a sites estrangeiros o preço da importação e do frete não compensa. 

Aliás, aqui está uma boa dica pra quem vende carimbeiras importadas: que venda também o refil pra elas!

Tenho algumas carimbeiras importadas e parte delas não tem refil, comprei faz tempo, e só depois é que me dei conta que quando a tinta acabar provavelmente jogarei a carimbeira no lixo, ficará uma caixa inútil, ocupando espaço.

This is a video I made to requests, since last year I think of doing it but only now due to a person who left a comment on the studio's channel on YouTube I remembered to record, I confess I had already forgotten!

It sounds easy, and it really is, but there are a few "tricks" in order for the ink to be correctly placed on the ink pad and used correctly  when needed.

First of all, my suggestion is: do not  buy an  ink pad if there is no refill available for sale, especially for imported ink pads because when the paint finishes there is no way to replace it and sometimes when we turn to foreign websites the price of the import and the freight does not worth it.

In fact, here's a good tip for those who sell imported ink pads: sell the refill for them too!

I have some imported ink pads and some of them do not have a refill, I bought them some time ago, and only later did I realize that when the ink runs out I'll probably throw the ink pad in the trash, it will be a useless box, taking up space.

Halloween Junk Journal #4 - VÍDEO

E hoje temos o quarto e último Junk Journal de Halloween de 2019, com os enfeites e a parte interna muito parecida com os 3 últimos junks, apenas a capa é diferente.



Já estou com saudades do Halloween, é a maior festa pagã que para os pagãos chama-se Samhain, gosto de comemorar, de esculpir abóboras, de fazer rituais de banimento e de prosperidade.

And today we have the fourth and last 2019 Halloween Junk Journal, with the embellishments and the text blocks much like the last 3 junks, only the cover is different.

I'm already missing Halloween, it's the biggest pagan festival that for the pagans it is called Samhain, I like to celebrate, to carve pumpkins, to do rituals of banishment and prosperity.

Ano que vem terei mais desafios de Halloween: fazer novos Junks Journals com novas ideias, com capas diferentes e quem sabe tamanhos diferentes também, mas alguns tipos de enfeite permanecerão o mesmo, como as cantoneiras para papéis.

Next year I'll have more Halloween challenges: making new Junks Journals with new ideas, with different covers and maybe different sizes too, but some types of embellishment will remain the same, like the paper angles.

Daqui pra frente será o tempo das festas de Natal, falta pouco, hoje já é dia 1º de Novembro e já posso montar minha árvore de Natal que está com minha família há 25 anos, velhinha, mas ainda ficará aqui por muito tempo.
