Estúdio Brigit is officially on vacation until March 10th, 2019, it seems like a long time, doesn't it? But in February we will have one video a week, on Wednesdays, just to prepare for the returning.

VINTAGE JOURNAL: The Blue Lady - VÍDEO

Eu não sei você mas eu adoro azul, vejo tudo azul: a Terra é azul, os mares, o céu, o Universo, as estrelas....devem ser meus olhos que só conseguem ver essa cor com mais destaque do que as outras, adoro azul!



Enquanto estava fazendo este VINTAGE JOURNAL fiquei pensando: e se nós, humanos, fossemos azuis também? Seríamos lindos!



Dei um toque romântico a este livro, bem feminino, suave, com folhas ligeiramente envelhecidas, fitas de cetim, rendas, tags, envelopes, pequenos papéis e bolsos; tudo o que uma Dama antiga gostaria, com seu jeito tímido de ver o mundo.

I do not know about you but I love blue, I see everything blue: the Earth is blue, the seas, the sky, the Universe, the stars ... it must be my eyes that can only see this color more prominently than the others I love blue!

While I was making this VINTAGE JOURNAL I was thinking: what if we humans were also blue? We would be  so cute!

I gave a romantic touch to this very feminine book, soft, with slightly aged sheets, satin ribbons, lace, tags, envelopes, small papers and pockets; all that an old Lady would like, with her timid way of seeing the world.

A Isia é uma seguidora do estúdio, já nos conhecemos há um tempinho, e ela me mandou uma caixa com 3 lindas artes feitas por ela: uma caixa decorada com tecido e papel scrap, um envelope artesanal envelhecido e escrito por ela mesma usando caneta bico de pena, e uma bruxa com gatinho preto!

My goodness, today was a day of gifts, and of Isia!

Isia is a fstudio follower, we've  met a little while ago, and she sent me a box with 3 beautiful artworks made by her: a box decorated with cloth and scrap paper, a handmade aged envelope and written by herself using pen nib feather, and a witch with a black kitten!

LOVED IT!

A caixa é da cor que eu gosto, você adivinhou, Isia!

O envelope é super charmoso, uma coisinha muito linda e ela ainda fez uma flor de scrap pra fechar o envelope!

E a bruxa com gatinho....esse gatinho é o meu Potter, né? E a bruxa? Quem será? 😁

The box has the color I like quite a lot, you guessed it, Isia!

The envelope is super charming, a very pretty little thing and she even made a scrap flower to close the envelope!

And the witch with a kitten .... this kitten is my Potter, right? And the witch? Who's she?? 😁

É de saber, ter a certeza mesmo, de que ainda existem pessoas de Bem. Gente que tem carinho e amizade pra dar, e de forma verdadeira. Isso emociona hoje em dia.

Como fazer furador manual caseiro (agulhão) - DIY - (How to make homemade manual drill) - VÍDEO

Hoje em dia a variedade de materiais de arte, artesanato e encadernação é grande mas nem sempre é fácil comprar alguns deles quando se mora em cidades um pouco distantes. Isso porquê, muitas vezes o frete é mais caro que o próprio objeto que se quer comprar.

Pensando nisso, vou mostrar aqui como fazer um furador manual, ou agulhão, muito usado em encadernação mas também em artesanato.

 Nowadays the variety of art, handicrafts and bookbinding materials is great but it is not always easy to buy some of them when you live in distant cities. That is why freight is often more expensive than the object itself.

Thinking about it, I'll show you how to make a manual punch, or needlework,  used a lot in binding but also in crafts.

Precisamos de:



- uma rolha de champagne ou uma rolha simples;

- uma agulha grande, cerca de 10 cm, grossa;

- uma moeda;

- tampinha metálica de garrafas;

- cola instantânea.

We need a:

- a champagne cork or a simple cork;

- a large needle, about 10 cm thick;

- a coin;

- metal bottle cap;

- instant glue.

A rolha de champagne é bem melhor que a rolha comum porque ela já vem com uma capa de metal bem resistente então se você tiver uma rolha dessas não vai precisar da moeda.

The champagne cork is much better than the regular cork because it already comes with a very tough metal cover so if you have such a cork you will not need the coin.

Se usar uma rolha simples vai precisar de uma moeda do tamanho que encaixe dentro da tampinha de metal. Cole-a usando cola instantânea.

If you use a simple cork you will need a coin of a size that fits inside the metal cap. Paste it using glue.

Depois que a moeda estiver colada na tampinha de metal, passe cola na moeda e cole-a na rolha, espere secar. Depois espete a agulha normalmente na rolha apenas pra fazer um furo, retire-a e espete-a com a parte que tem o furo, na rolha. 

Pronto, você já tem um agulhão caseiro!

After the coin is glued to the metal cap, glue the coin  to the cork, wait until it is dry. Then simply gouge the needle into the cork only to make a hole, remove it and gouge it with the part that has the hole, in the cork.

Travel Book ou Diário de Viagem é um ítem obrigatório pra quem quer aproveitar ao máximo todas as dicas e detalhes da viagem. Anota-se tudo nele: antes da viagem anota-se os principais pontos a conhecer e endereços de restaurantes, e durante a viagem podemos colar fotos, guardar cartões, anotar endereços de lugares que vale a pena voltar novamente, anotar todas as dicas do que fazer e do que não vale a pena, além de roteiros, etc...


E o bom de tudo isso é que quando voltamos ao mesmo lugar é tudo mais fácil, porque ficou tudo registrado da primeira vez, além de ser uma recordação para sempre!

Travel Book or Travel Diary is a "must have" for anyone who wants to make the most of all the travel tips and details. We note everything about it: before the trip we note the main points of interest and addresses of restaurants, and during the trip we can paste photos, store cards, note addresses of places that are worth coming back again, jot down all the tips of what do and do not worth, in addition to scripts, etc ...
