ÁLBUM CADERNETA DA 2ª MARATONA DE ENCADERNAÇÃO #1(BINDING MARATHON ALBUM # 1)

Neste ano de 2020 resolvi mudar algumas coisas aqui no estúdio, na verdade, acrescentar algumas atividades e a primeira delas foi uma Maratona de Encadernação Artesanal onde mostro como fazer algum livro ou álbum, em aulas gratuitas e ao vivo!

In this year of 2020 I decided to change some things here in the studio, in fact, add some activities and the first of them was an Artisanal Binding Marathon where I show how to make a book or album, in free and live classes!

Este Álbum Caderneta foi o que fizemos na 2ª Maratona, e foi um sucesso!!

Alguns alunos conseguiram vender os álbuns que fizeram e ainda tiveram pedidos de encomendas, para mim foi maravilhoso saber de tudo isso, é a certeza de que estou no caminho certo e ajudando muita gente!

This Album was what we have made in the 2nd Marathon, and it was a success !!

Some students managed to sell the albums they made and still had orders, it was wonderful for me to know all this, it is the certainty that I am on the right path and helping a lot of people!

Este álbum rosa e o álbum azul das fotos abaixo foram os que fiz como exemplo. 

Em cada álbum podemos colocar até 19 fotos no tamanho 10 x 15cm, que são mostradas pelo sistema cascata.

Além de um livreto feito com a costura panfleto e de fechamento com ímã.

This pink album and the blue one of the photos below were the ones I made as an example.

In each album we can place up to 19 photos in size 10 x 15cm, which are shown by the cascade system.

In addition we have also made a booklet with the pamphlet sewing and magnet closure.

Gosto sempre de fazer uma versão mais feminina e outra mais neutra, clássica, e este azul marinho ficou absolutamente lindo!

I always like to make a more feminine version and a more neutral one, a classic version, and this navy blue is absolutely beautiful!

Fechados medem 11,5cm x 22cm e abertos medem cerca de 30cm x 22cm. 



A criatividade pode fazer com que sejam álbuns para o Dia das Mães, para presentes de aniversários, batizados e até casamentos.

Tudo depende da decoração!

As aulas foram ao vivo, gratuitas, e estão disponíveis dentro do Curso Básico de Encadernação do Estúdio Brigit depois que a Maratona acaba. 

Foram 3 dias seguidos de aulas, cada aula com cerca de 1:30h de duração.

The classes were live, free, and are available within the Basic Binding Course at Estúdio Brigit  after the Marathon ends.

There were 3 consecutive days of classes, each class lasting about 1: 30h.

COMO PINTAR GATOS COM LÁPIS DE COR #1 (HOW TO PAINT CATS WITH COLOR PENCILS # 1)

E a todo momento vem o pedido: "Cris, pinta com lápis de cor! Queremos ver uma pintura completa!"
Então atendendo a pedidos, aqui está o vídeo #1 onde eu pinto um Gato, ou seja #comopintargatoscomlapisdecor , acho que seria isso, né?

Não sei quantos vídeos serão, e convido VOCÊ a pintar junto comigo! A figura você pode encontrar no livro GATOS - O LIVRO DE COLORIR da ilustradora Marjorie Sarnat.

É um livro onde todas as ilustrações, em todas as páginas, possuem gatos como tema principal.

It is a book where all illustrations, on all pages, have cats as their main theme.

Para essa pintura vou usar uma caixa com 36 de Lápis de Cor COLOR'PEPS da marca MAPED, nível escolar.

Gosto de usar lápis escolares porque nem todos podem investir em lápis profissionais, e também para mostrar que quando se tem algum conhecimento de técnicas básicas é possível ter um bom resultado com lápis mais baratos.

For this painting I am using a box of 36 COLOR'PEPS Colored Pencils by MAPED, school level.

I like to use school pencils because not everyone can invest in professional pencils, and also to show that when you have some knowledge of the basic techniques it is possible to have a good result with cheaper pencils.

Algumas pessoas gostam que eu indique ou escreva o vídeo, enquanto faço a pintura, as cores dos lápis que estou usando mas acredito que mais importante do que saber o nome exato da cor é entender como estou pintando, observar como seguro o lápis cada vez que mudo de posição......os nomes exatos das cores não são tão importantes, porque nem todos tem essa mesma caixa de lápis de cor e as marcas mudam alguns nomes então cada caixa, de cada arca, pode ter nomes completamente diferentes.

Nomes básicos como vermelho, amarelo,  verde, azul, preto.....constam em todas as caixas de todas as marcas mas muitos outros nomes de cores dependem das marcas, por exemplo, a MAPED que estou usando possui um lápis cuja cor é Jungle Green. 

Pode ser que essa mesma cor sendo de outra marca tenha outro nome!

Some people like me to indicate or write the video, while I do the painting, the colors of the pencils I am using but I believe that more important than knowing the exact name of the color is to understand how I am painting, to observe how I hold the pencil each time I change my position ...... the exact names of the colors are not so important, because not everyone has the same box of colored pencils and the brands change some names so each box, of each brand, can have completely different names.

Basic names like red, yellow, green, blue, black ..... appear in all the boxes of all brands but many other color names depend on the brands, for example, the MAPED I am using has a pencil named Jungle Green.

It may be that the same color being from another brand has another name!

Então, muito mais importante do que se "prender" a nomes de cores é entender a técnica, e para o caso das pessoas que possuem esse livro quererem pintar junto comigo minha sugestão é que usem os lápis que mais se aproximarem das cores que estou usando no vídeo, mesmo que sejam lápis de outras marcas.

So, much more important than "attaching" to color names is to understand the technique, and in case the people who own this book want to paint with me, my suggestion is to use the pencils that most closely match the colors I'm using in the video, even if they are pencils from other brands.

Além da caixa de lápis de cor também tenho um pincel grande, de maquiagem mesmo, pra limpar a pintura em vez de limpa-la com as mãos. 



Tenho um alongador de lápis porque meu lápis vermelho está quase acabando e preciso do alongador.

Também tenho uma borracha maleável, um lápis Blender da Caran d'Ache, um apontador e 2 esfuminhos, um pedaço de acetato que coloco por baixo da página e um pedaço de papel comum para evitar apoiar minha mão diretamente na pintura.



Gosto de começar pela parte esquerda de cima do desenho e ir descendo até chegar ao lado oposto: a parte direita de baixo.



Então, vamos pintar?!

In addition to the box of colored pencils, I also have a large brush, for makeup, to clean the painting instead of cleaning it with my hands.

I have a pencil stretcher because my red pencil is almost out and I need the stretcher.

I also have a malleable eraser, a Blender pencil from Caran d'Ache, a sharpener and 2 smears, a piece of acetate that I put under the page and a piece of plain paper to avoid supporting my hand directly on the painting.

I like to start at the top left part of the drawing and work my way down until I reach the opposite side: the right bottom part.

TESTANDO TINTA PERMANENTE DE ATRAMENTIS (TESTING PERMANENT INK OF ATRAMENTIS)

Para você que gosta de #canetatinteiro mas precisa de uma tinta que não borre e não entupa a sua preciosa caneta, vou testar a tinta resistente à água DE ATRAMENTIS que pode ser usada em canetas tinteiro.


Depois de seca, a tinta oferece a resistência à água e isso é ótimo para quem gosta de desenhar e aquarelar depois.

Nem todas as tintas resistentes à água podem ser usadas em canetas tinteiro, por exemplo, Indian Ink não deve ser usada por ser uma tinta altamente pigmentada.

Então vamos testar a DE ATRAMENTIS e ver o comportamento dela, depois de seca, com aquarela por cima. Vem ver!

For those who like fountain pens but need an ink that does not smudge and does not clog your precious pen, I am going to test the water resistant ink DE ATRAMENTIS that can be used in fountain pens.

After drying, the ink offers water resistance and this is great for those who like to draw and watercolors afterwards.

Not all water-resistant inks can be used in fountain pens, for example, Indian Ink should not be used because it is a highly pigmented ink.



So let's test DE ATRAMENTIS and see its behavior, after drying, with watercolor on top. Come and see!

Para quem gosta de desenhar e aquarelar depois, ter uma tinta que pode ser usada em caneta tinteiro e que não borra é maravilhoso!

For those who like to draw and watercolors later, having an ink that can be used in a fountain pen and that does not smudge is wonderful!

É preciso tomar cuidado com o tipo de tinta para não danificar a caneta tinteiro. As tintas usadas normalmente são sensíveis a água.

Care must be taken with the type of ink to avoid damaging the fountain pen. The inks used are usually sensitive to water.

Vou aproveitar e encher minha caneta tinteiro. É uma caneta alemã, chamada Reform, antiga, e o próprio corpo da caneta retem a tinta dentro. 

I will take advantage and fill my fountain pen. It is a German pen, called Reform, old, and the pen body itself retains the ink inside.

No topo da caneta há uma parte que podemos rodar e fazer a sucção da tinta até enche-la completamente. Podemos ver se está cheia porque uma pequena parte do corpo da caneta é transparente.

At the top of the pen there is a part that we can rotate and suck the ink until it is completely filled. We can see if it is full because a small part of the pen's body is transparent.

Agora vamos fazer o teste: alguns rabiscos....

E assim que os rabiscos secarem, aquarela neles!

É realmente importante que a tinta esteja seca para depois podermos aplicar a aquarela. Deu certo, não borrou!

ENVELOPE CORSETTE #2 - DIY - VÍDEO

Envelopes Corsettes são realmente lindos, não são?

Em um post anterior mostrei como fazer o da foto abaixo, na verdade é bem fácil de ser feito.

Hoje vou mostrar outro envelope Corsette um pouco diferente, fácil mas ligeiramente mais trabalhoso que o anterior.

Corsette envelopes are really beautiful, aren't they?

In a previous post I showed you how to make the one in the photo below, in fact it is quite easy to make.

Today I am going to show you another Corsette envelope that is a little different, easy but slightly more laborious than the previous one.

Gosto de usar a ferramenta Envelope Punch Board para fazer envelopes, mas você pode simplesmente descolar um envelope já pronto e abri-lo porque o próximo passo é decora-lo com carimbos ou outros enfeites, como você quiser.

I like to use the Envelope Punch Board tool to make envelopes, but you can simply peel off a ready-made envelope and open it because the next step is to decorate it with stamps or other decorations, as you wish.

No envelope anterior usei ilhoses apenas para decorar, não são necessários. Ficam lindos, né?

In the previous envelope I used eyelets only to decorate, they are not necessary. They look beautiful, don't they!?

No envelope de hoje não vou colocar ilhoses porque seria muito trabalhoso e como eu disse, desnecessário.

In today's envelope I will not put eyelets because it would be too much work and as I said, unnecessary.

Os envelopes Corsette não precisam de cola, é a própria costura que faz o fechamento.



Na parte do envelope que normalmente ficaria colada, traço uma reta com um lápis.

Corsette envelopes do not need glue, the seam itself does the closing.

On the part of the envelope that would normally be glued, I draw a line with a pencil.

Na verdade, traço a reta nas duas partes do envelope como mostra a figura abaixo e também o vídeo, no final deste post.

In fact, I draw the line on the two parts of the envelope as shown in the figure below and also the video at the end of this post.

Faço a união das duas retas, de 1,5 em 1,5 cm ou de 2 em 2cm, como ficar melhor e isso depende do tamanho do envelope.

I join the two lines, 1.5 by 1.5 cm or 2 by 2 cm, as it gets better and it depends on the size of the envelope.

Em seguida, á mão livre, faço círculos nos cantos desenhados com o lápis.

Then, freehand, I make circles in the corners drawn with the pencil.

Esses círculos são as guias para que eu faça os furos no papel.

These circles are the guides to make the holes in the paper.

A minha Crop-a-dile é pequena, então precisei furar com um vazador cilíndrico. O importante é fazer os furos.

My Crop-a-dile is small, so I had to drill with a cylindrical drill. The important thing is to drill the holes.

Vou usar uma fita de cetim, com medida 4 vezes maior que a parte onde fiz os furos.

I will use a satin ribbon, measuring 4 times larger than the part where I made the holes.

Começo por dentro e pela parte de baixo do envelope, e vou traçando a fita de cetim. Ela precisa ficar cruzada.

I start on the inside and the bottom of the envelope, and trace the satin ribbon. It needs to be crossed.

Quando os furos acabarem basta dar um nó na fita, por dentro do envelope.

When the holes are finished, just tie the ribbon inside the envelope.
