Continuing the previous post, since this is a series of videos where I am painting this page of the Coloring Book "CATS" by Marjorie Sarnat, I advance a little more in painting.
The pencils I chose are from the MAPED brand, Color Pep's school line, and in addition to them I also used a sharpener, a fusain eraser, a smudge, apencil extender, a blender from Caran D'Ache, a piece of acetate to insulate the pages, a makeup brush for cleaning of painting and some plain paper to serve as a support for the hand.
Having a color chart is very important since the colors painted on the outside of the pencils do not correspond 100% to the true colors of the pencil mines!
I like to paint small parts at a time, from left to right and from top to bottom.
Right now I'm at the bottom of the drawing, somewhere that looks like some kind of plant.
It seems a little "vague" not to mention the colors of the pencil I am using but I think that each person should use the colors they want, without copying, paying attention to the technique used.
Colors are important for a good harmony, but I think that writing the name of each pencil is a very difficult task because I change pencils extremely often adding small details of colors.
So my suggestion is the study of the Chromatic Circle, the knowledge of harmonious combinations, and also the observation of good technique and not the dissemination of each pencil used in each millimeter of the painting.
Having a blank paper nearby makes it a lot easier to choose the colors because we can try first and only then apply them to the painting.
After painting the chosen part, I start another one, this time at the right end of my drawing.
And so, calmly, I complete the drawing with harmonious, contrasting, analogous colors ..... how to know all this? With the study of the Chromatic Circle and the Color Table of the painting box.
