Lembram do Livro Lux University que lancei ano passado? 

É um livro unissex que pode ser usado para anotações, diário, receitas,  como caderno na volta às aulas; o primeiro Lux University que fiz tinha esse objetivo.

Do you remember the Book "Lux University" that I made last year?

It's a unisex book that can be used for notes, diary, recipes, and as a notebook at school; the first Lux University had this goal.

O livro tem um tamanho ótimo pra levar na bolsa, na mochila ou na pasta, é muito resistente e charmoso tanto para meninas quanto para meninos, com suas capas retratando os pontos turísticos do Rio de Janeiro.

 The book has a comfortable size to be carried in bags, backpacks or briefcases , is very sturdy and charming both for girls and for boys, with its covers show the sights of Rio de Janeiro.

No ano passado os desenhos das capas eram em preto e branco; este ano resolvi dar um pouco de cor a eles e usei um  tecido importado, com os pontos turísticos do Rio em cores fortes, lindas, onde o verde, o laranja e o amarelo predominam.



Last year the designs of the covers were black and white; this year I decided to give a little color to them so I used an imported fabric, with the sights of Rio in bright and beautiful colors  where green, orange and yellow predominate .

Na lombada usei o tecido jeans azul escuro e também o jeans cinza.



On the spine I used a dark blue jeans and a gray jeans.

Mede 22cm de comprimento por 25,5cm de altura, com 2,5cm de espessura e pesa aproximadamente 780 gramas.



It measures 22cm long by 25.5 cm tall, 2.5 cm thick and weighs approximately 780 grams.

 As Folhas de Guarda são verdes pra combinar com o verde do estampado das capas.

The Guard Leaves are green to match  the covers.

O miolo é com papel Color Plus 120g/m²,  na cor Marfim. Possui 100 folhas, ou seja, 200 páginas. 



The core has 100 sheets of Ivory  Color Plus paper,  120g / m².

As estampas são variadas; tem o Cristo Redentor, o Maracanã, o calçadão de Copacabana, o Teatro Municipal, o Sambódromo e os Arcos da Lapa.



The prints are varied:  Cristo Redentor, Maracana, the sidewalk of Copacabana, the Municipal Theatre, the Sambadrome and the Lapa's arches.

É um livro para Elas, para Eles e pra todos os usos!





Estou fazendo mais para atender às encomendas, daqui a pouco começam as aulas e todo mundo quer ir de caderno novo, não é?!

A Viagem (1): Arco do Triunfo (The Trip: Arch of Triumph)

Já  comentei algumas vezes sobre a última viagem, disse que ia mostrar fotos mas até agora pouco mostrei, não é?



Comecei com as fotos do último post onde estou na loja de biscoitos mais linda que já vi na vida, em Paris.



Então vou continuar falando de Paris, do que vi e vivi!



Não há como negar: Paris é linda, não é a primeira vez que vou lá e embora os edifícios (antigos e lindos) sejam sempre os mesmos parece que cada vez é sempre a primeira! 



Um dos primeiros lugares que visitei foi o Arc de Triomphe (Arco do Triunfo) que foi construído a mando de Napoleão Bonaparte para comemorar suas vitórias nas batalhas.

I have commented a few times about my last trip, I said I would show you the photos but so far I showed little, isn't it?



I started to show some photos on the last post where I am in the  most beautiful cookies shop I've ever seen in my life, in Paris.



So I will continue talking about Paris, what I saw and experienced!



There is no denying: Paris is beautiful, it's not my first time there and although the buildings (old and beautiful) are always the same each time I go  seems to be always the first!



One of the first places I visited was the Arc de Triomphe (Arch of Triumph) which was built on the orders of Napoleon to celebrate his victories in battles.

O Arc de Triomphe fica no meio da praça Charles de Gaulle e dessa praça saem nada menos do que 12 ruas e o trânsito é um "salve-se quem puder", parece que ninguém se entende com tantos carros vindo de tantas ruas!





The Arc de Triomphe stands in the middle of  Charles de Gaulle square and from this square comes out no fewer than 12 streets so the traffic is a "save yourself if you can", nobody seems to get along with so many cars coming from many streets!

Ainda bem que não precisamos atravessar a rua para chegar ao arco, é só ir por uma passagem subterrânea que liga a praça às ruas em volta.



Thankfully we do not need to cross the street to get to the arch because there's an  underground passage  connecting the square to the streets around.

  É um monumento impressionante pela sua Arte e beleza e como é uma homenagem a militares tem gravados os nomes de mais de 120 batalhas,  mais de 500 generais e oficiais franceses e também dos lugares onde muitas batalhas ocorreram.



It is an impressive monument for its art and beauty and as a tribute to the military it has engraved on the stones the names of over 120 battles,  more than 500 generals and French officers and also the places where many battles have occurred.

As esculturas em baixo e alto relevo são extremamente detalhadas, perfeitas!



Embaixo do arco está o tumulo do soldado desconhecido e quando se olha pra cima vemos um teto lindo, esculpido de forma geométrica, rico em detalhes.



The sculptures in low and high relief are extremely detailed, perfect!



Underneath the arch is the tomb of the unknown soldier and when we look up  we see a beautiful ceiling, carved in geometric form, rich in details.

É possível subir por dentro do arco e ver a cidade lá de cima e......ah, a Tour Eiffel do outro lado!



We can go inside the arch and see the city from above and ...... ah, the Eiffel Tower on the other side!

E bem ali no cantinho direito da foto, em cima,  fica a Catedral de Montmartre:

And on the right  in the corner of the photo  is  Montmartre Cathedral:

Na parte de cima existe uma maquete do arco, além de outras esculturas.



At the top there is a model of the arch, and other sculptures.

O  arco fica no fundo de uma das avenidas mais famosas do mundo, a Avenue des Champs-Élysées que tem as lojas com as grifes mais caras do mundo, além de restaurantes frequentados por famosos também.

The arch is at the bottom of one of the most famous avenues in the world, the Avenue des Champs-Élysées which has shops with the most expensive brands in the world, and restaurants frequented by famous too.

Chic, né? Eu gostei muito!

Começando 2013! (Starting 2013!)

Aqui estou eu de volta do meu descanso de fim de ano!



Um pouco mais cedo já que normalmente começamos as atividades aqui no Estúdio Brigit no começo de Março, mas na verdade minhas férias foram em Setembro e Outubro de 2012, quando fiz uma viagem cultural a alguns países europeus.



Gente, que Verão é este?? Junto com ele vêem as enchentes! É lamentável a situação de algumas cidades afetadas pela força das águas.



Neste calor me lembro bastante do friozinho que já dominava os países onde eu estive! Sinto saudades daquele frio!



E saudade das guloseimas também!



Estas fotos foram tiradas em Paris numa loja linda chamada La Cure Gourmand que vende biscoitos e balas de todos os tipos, além de chocolates; uma delícia de cores e sabores.



E as embalagens? Maravilhosas! Deu vontade de comprar tudo!

Eu (primeira foto) com casacão, meias, botas, 2 blusas de lã, cachecol e um gorro que tirei quando entrei na loja.



E agora....mãos à obra, digo, mãos (as minhas, né?!) aos papéis, tecidos, folhas, etc, etc..



Daqui a pouco eu volto!

Starting 2013!



Here I am back from my break of New Year!



A little earlier since normally the activities here in Studio Brigit usually start in the beginning of March, but actually my holidays were in September and October 2012, when I made a cultural trip to some European countries.



Guys, what a  hot summer we're having here! Along with it come the floods! It is unfortunate the situation of some cities affected by the force of the waters.



In this heat I quite remember the chill that has ruled the cities where I've been! I miss that cold!



And I miss the goodies too!



These photos were taken in Paris in a beautiful store called La Cure Gourmand that sells biscuits and sweets of all kinds, plus chocolates; a delight of colors and flavors.



  And the packaging? Marvellous! Felt like buying everything!



I  (first photo) was wearing a coat, socks, boots, two wool sweaters, a scarf and a cap that I took out when I entered the store.



And now .... back to work, to my  papers, fabrics, etc, etc. ..



Soon I'll be back!
