Esta é a Basílica do Sagrado Coração, no bairro de Montmartre, em Paris. É enorme, toda de mármore branca, linda e com uma escadaria que cansa um pouco pra subir.
É que a basílica fica no monte Martre, o mais alto da cidade. Pelo caminho, bem nas laterais, tem uma vegetação com cores lindas; eu não resisti e tirei algumas fotos!

This is the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in the neighborhood of Montmartre, in Paris. It's huge, all in white marble, beautiful and with a staircase a little tired to climb.
The basilica is on mount Martre, the city's tallest mount. Along the way, at the sides, there is a vegetation with beautiful colors, I could not resist and took some pictures!
Do lado de fora fica lotado de pessoas, mas do lado de dentro também, tem até fila pra entrar! Gente tirando fotos, noivos tirando fotos também, muitos turistas....mas tem que ser porque é um dos monumentos mais visitados em Paris.
The outside is packed with people, and the inside too, there is a queue to get in! People taking pictures, grooms taking pictures, many tourists .... but it has to be because it is one of the most visited monuments in Paris.
Não pode filmar nem tirar fotos no interior da basílica mas como tinha muita gente tirando fotos, achei que tinha entendido errado o aviso de proibição. Tirei poucas fotos, algumas ficaram escuras demais, mas dá pra ver que é bonita por dentro, majestosa.
No one can shoot or take pictures inside the basilica but as so many people were taking pictures, I thought I had misunderstood the prohibition notice. So, I took few photos, some were too dark, but you can see it's beautiful inside, majestic.
Esta é uma foto digna de profissional, né? Essa é a cúpula central que tem 80 metros de altura.
Será que aprendi a tirar boas fotos??

As paredes do quarto eram revestidas com tecido combinando com a cabeceira e com a colcha da cama.

The walls of the room were lined with fabric piece matching the headboard and the bedspread.

É um peruqueiro! Isso mesmo! É um móvel feito em madeira apenas para pendurar as perucas, muito usadas naquela época tanto por mulheres quanto por homens.

It is a wighanger! That's right! It is a mobile made of wood just to hang wigs, then used very much by women as by men.
As paredes também tinham enormes tapeçarias penduradas.
The walls also had huge hanging tapestries.

Existem fontes, lagos naturais e artificiais, e tudo isso cercado de árvores, flores, estátuas, bustos. A Arte também nos jardins!
There are sources, natural and artificial lakes, and all this surrounded by trees, flowers, statues, busts. The Art in the gardens too!

Seria ótimo se nossos prédios históricos fossem assim tão bem preservados, não é?
Alguns são, mas outros precisam muito de restauração como o Museu do Índio aqui no Rio.

It would be great if our historic buildings were so well preserved!
Some are, but others need a lot of restoration as the Indian Museum here in Rio.
