A Viagem (10): Museu do Louvre (Louvre - The Trip)

Hoje é dia de Musée du Louvre! 



O Museu do Louvre fica no Palácio do Louvre, bem no centro de Paris entre o rio Sena e a Rue de Rivoli.



A entrada é feita por esta pirâmide de vidro, tem uma escada rolante que nos leva ao andar de baixo, um enorme salão.

Today is the Musée du Louvre day!



The Louvre Museum is located in the Louvre Palace in the center of Paris between the Seine and the Rue de Rivoli.



The entrance is made ​​through this glass pyramid, and has an escalator that leads to the lower floor, a huge hall.

O Museu do Louvre é um dos maiores e mais famosos museus do mundo e não é pra menos.  A primeira construção, em 1190, foi feita para ser um tipo de fortaleza medieval para defender Paris contra os ataques dos vikings. Depois virou palácio, mais à frente foi todo demolido mas suas fundações foram aproveitadas para a construção do que é hoje.



Na verdade o Palácio do Louvre sofreu várias modificações ao longo dos anos e assim foi aumentando de tamanho também, quando finalmente em 1989 abriu suas portas ao público e passou a funcionar como museu.





The Louvre Museum is one of the largest and most famous museums in the world and not for less. The first building in 1190, was meant to be a kind of medieval fortress to defend Paris against the attacks of the Vikings. Then it turned palace,  later it was demolished  but its foundations were harnessed to build what it is today.



Actually the Louvre Palace has undergone several changes over the years and so was also increasing in size,  but in 1989  it finally opened its doors to the public to operate as a museum.

Livro das Sombras "Black Sabbath" (Book of Shadows)

Este é o mais novo Livro das Sombras que fiz, dei o nome de "Black Sabbath" porque ele é totalmente preto e achei que o nome combinava com ele.

Foi uma encomenda, um pedido que recebi de uma pessoa lá de Paraty,  uma cidade litorânea linda a oeste do Rio de Janeiro.

O Livro é bem grande, mede 30cm x 37cm e tem 120 folhas.

A capa frontal é em tecido especial para encadernação na cor preta, e a capa posterior e a lombada são em courino preto.

This is the latest Book of Shadows I made, I gave it the name "Black Sabbath" because it is totally black and I thought the name suited it.

It was an order, a request I received from a person from Paraty, a beautiful seaside west town  of Rio de Janeiro.

The book is quite large, measuring 30cm x 37cm and has 120 sheets.

The front cover is in special black binder fabric, and the back cover and spine are in black courino (fake leather).

Na capa frontal há um Pentagrama colorido, e uma Triluna em alto relevo. Ja na capa posterior há um Pentagrama  grande em alto relevo também.

Tanto na capa frontal quanto na capa posterior e na lombada fiz uma costura cruzada com cadarço preto.

A folha de guarda é em papel antigo e em papel preto.

On the front cover there is a colored pentagram and an embossed Triluna. Already in the back cover there is a large pentagram, embossed too.

As far as the front and back cover,  the spine has a cross stitching with black laces.

The leaf guard is on antique paper and on black paper.

As folhas foram envelhecidas uma a uma, manualmente.

The sheets were aged one by one manually.

Cada folha fica diferente da outra:

A costura fiz com linha encerada preta...

The seam I made ​​with black waxed thread ...

...e coloquei 3 marcadores de páginas e 3 pingentes: Lua, coruja e Pentagrama.

and I put 3 bookmarks and 3 pendants: Moon, Owl and Pentagram.

O fechamento do livro é com um tipo de fivela e a tarja é ajustável para que o futuro dono possa colocar papéis dentro do livro e o ajuste do volume possa ser feito.

As cantoneiras são em courino com aplicação de metais, aliás, coloquei metais também em outras partes do Livro.

The closing of the book is with a kind of buckle and the stripe is adjustable so that the future owner can put papers inside the book and volume adjustment can be made.

The angles are in courino with application of metals, incidentally, I also put metal in other parts of the Book.

Mas não está pronto, ele será envelhecido! 

Como as folhas foram envelhecidas, nada mais justo do que envelhecer o Livro todo, não é?

Na próxima terça eu mostro o Black Sabbath envelhecido!

Tenho andando inspirada demais pra desenhar, o ovo acima tem vários doodles, faço sempre que tenho um tempo vazio mesmo que seja pouco.



Então, levo meu sketchbook e começo a desenhar na sala de espera do dentista, do médico, na fila do Correio......acho que fiquei viciada nisso!



 Feriado prolongado, sejam felizes e boa Páscoa pra todos, com muitos ovinhos de chocolate!

I've been too inspired  to draw, the egg above has various doodles, I always have that empty time even if it is little.



So I take my sketchbook and start drawing everywhere: in the waiting room of the dentist   or  the doctor, in line at the Post Office ...... I'm addicted!



  Weekend with holiday,  be happy and a good Easter for everyone, with many chocolate eggs!
