E me mandando mensagens perguntando sobre Sketchbooks: pra que servem, se pode desenhar tudo em um só, se tem que desenhar por temas, se pode pintar, quais materiais usar......muitas perguntas, tantas que vou fazer um vídeo falando sobre Sketchbooks!

Hi, dears!

Wow! How many people are drawing and painting, being happy! And sending me messages asking about Sketchbooks:" what are they? can I draw everything in it? is it to draw by themes? can I paint, what materials to use?" ...... many questions, so many that I will make a video talking about Sketchbooks!

Este livro de hoje (vídeo no final deste post) pode ser usado como Sketchbook porque todos os livros do Estúdio Brigit tem, no mínimo, 120g/m² então o papel é resistente até pra uma aquarela não muito aguada. Claro que tenho livros com gramatura maior,  mais específicos, então é só escolher.

Today's book (video at the end of this post) can be used as a Sketchbook because all Estúdio Brigit's  books are at least 120g / m² so the paper is tough even for a not too watery watercolor.  Of course I have bigger, more specific books, so just choose the one you prefer.



O livro de hoje tem a costura exposta solta e por isso ele abre plano e as capas podem ser viradas totalmente pra trás, como se fosse um livro espiral.

São 96 folhas (192 páginas) de papel Reciclato, cinza claro, capas duras, e o livro mede aproximadamente 16 cm de base x 24 cm de altura.

A capa frontal é forrada com tecido estampado de caveirinhas e a capa posterior com tecido holandês. Na capa posterior há um bolso pra guardar papéis.

It has a loose exposed sewing so it opens flat and the covers can be turned all the way back, like a spiral book.

There are 96 sheets (192 pages) of recycled paper, light gray, hard covers, and the book measures approximately 16 cm in base x 24 cm in height.

The front cover is lined with skull printed fabric and the back cover with Dutch fabric. On the back cover there is a pocket to hold papers.

A costura é aparente e feita com linhas tripla encerada. Pesa cerca de 500 gramas.



Ou seja, um excelente journal pro dia a dia, ou um excelente sketchbook pro dia a dia, é só escolher.

The seam is apparent and made with triple waxed thread. It weighs about 500 grams.

That is an excellent day to day journal , or an excellent day to day sketchbook!

A Viagem (148): Indo para o Lago Ness (The Trip: Going to Loch Ness)

Hoje tenho algo diferente pra escrever neste post de viagem, na verdade quero contar uma ideia que tive com base nas conversas e mensagens que tenho recebido.

Pra quem é artista de desenho e pintura qualquer viagem, por mais perto que seja, é sempre uma oportunidade pra levar material de arte, escolher uma paisagem, um objeto, um lugar e registrar tudo num sketchbook, companheiro permanente do artista.

Today I have something different to write in this travel post, in fact I want to tell you an idea that I had based on the conversations and messages I have received.

For anyone who is a drawing and painting artist, any trip, however close, is always an opportunity to pick up the art material, choose a landscape, an object, a place and record everything in a sketchbook, the artist's permanent companion.

Mas, no meu caso, nem sempre consigo sentar por 2, 3 horas e ficar apenas desenhando e pintando porque não viajo sozinha, viajo em família e com amigos, e reconheço que enquanto pra mim é uma diversão e prazer, pra eles pode ser cansativo ficar muito tempo em um lugar esperando que eu termine minha arte.  Por esse motivo boa parte das vezes ou faço um desenho simples, fotografo o local e pinto quando chego no hotel ou em casa, ou simplesmente fotografo tudo e faço o desenho e a pintura no hotel ou em casa.

But in my case, I can not always sit for 2, 3 hours and just draw and paint because I do not travel alone, I travel with family and friends, and I recognize that while it's fun for me, it can be tiring for them to spend a lot of time in a place waiting for me to finish my art. For this reason I often do a simple drawing, photograph the place and paint it when I arrive at the hotel or at home, or simply photograph everything and do the drawing and painting at the hotel or at home.

No post de hoje vocês estão vendo o famoso Lago Ness, ou Loch Ness,  na Escócia, onde dizem existir um animal, um tipo de dinossauro aquático, que vive naquelas águas há muitos anos mas que nunca foi eficazmente fotografado. Todos do lugar mantém a afirmação de que ele, ou melhor, ela, chamada carinhosamente de Nessie, existe! Eu também acho que ela existe, eu acredito!

In today's post you are seeing the famous Loch Ness in Scotland, where they say there is an animal, a kind of aquatic dinosaur that has lived in those waters for many years but has never been photographed effectively. Everyone in the place maintains the statement that he, or rather, she, affectionately called Nessie, exists! I also think she exists, I believe!

Não fiz desenhos sobre esse lugar, mas minhas vontade é mostrar junto com os posts de viagem alguns desenhos e pinturas do post do dia, acho que isso pode motivar vocês a fazerem o mesmo: a desenhar e pintar lugares, coisas, objetos, animais....e nem precisa ser numa viagem, pode ser no dia a dia.

I did not make drawings about this place, but my desire is to show along with the travel posts some drawings and paintings from the post of the day, I think this can motivate you to do the same: to draw and paint places, things, objects, animals. ... and it does not even have to be a trip, it can be a day by day routine.

Então, pode ser que nos próximos posts de viagem eu coloque essa ideia no papel, ou seja, aqui no blog!

Arte Escondida - Arte do Dia (Hidden Art - Art Journal) - VIDEO

Hoje é dia de Arte do Dia comemorando o Inverno antes que a Primavera chegue!



Nessa arte de hoje podemos usar 3 produtos que você pode fazer em casa: gesso acrílico, gesso de textura e cola pra decoupage.  Os links dos vídeos onde mostro como fazer esses produtos estão no vídeo, é só clicar e ser feliz!



E como toda arte que se preze, de vez em quando temos umas surpresas......ou seja, de vez em quando a "coisa" desanda e a gente não gosta muito da arte que fez. Nessa de hoje, no final até gostei um pouco mas não foi aquela "paixão" que normalmente sinto quando acabo de fazer uma Arte do Dia.

Vamos á Lista de Material e além da lista você precisa de um caderno, uma folha ou até um pedaço de papelão pra fazer sua arte:



- gesso acrílico;

- tinta lilás (acrílica ou pva);

- pincel para tinta;

- papelão em formato de janela;

- tesoura (pra cortar o papelão, opcional);

- adesivo laminado ou papel laminado;

- papel de seda;

- stencil em forma de tijolo;

- espátula;

- gesso de textura;

- cola pra decoupage (ou Gel Medium);

- pincel pra cola;

- papel;

- caneta marcador preta;

- Gelatos da Faber-Castell;

- pincel pra Gelatos;

- recipiente com água;

- stencil com círculos;

- tesoura;

- esponja ou pano pra passar os Gelatos no stencil;

- carimbeira Vintage Photo;

- esponja ou aplicador para carimbeira;

- fita banana;

- caneta hidrocor marrom, amarela, vermelha, verde e lilás;

- caneta gel branca (ou caneta corretivo);

- tesoura para picotar (opcional).

- caneta para caligrafia Elegant Writer (opcional).

Today is Art Journal day celebrating the winter before spring arrives!

In this art  we can use 3 products made at home: acrylic gesso, texture gesso and decoupage glue. The links of the videos where I show how to make these products are in the video, just click and be happy!

And like all art that prevailed, from time to time we have some surprises ...... that is, from time to time it "does not work" and we do not like the art but in the end I even liked it a bit but it was not that "passion" I usually feel when I just made an Art Journal.

It happens...

Let's take a look at  the List of Material and besides the list you need a notebook, a sheet or even a piece of cardboard to make your art:

- acrylic gesso;

- lilac ink (acrylic or pva);

- paintbrush;

- cardboard in window format;

- scissors (to cut the cardboard, optional);

- laminated adhesive or laminated paper;

- tissue paper;

- brick-shaped stencil;

- spatula;

- texture gesso;

- glue for decoupage (or Gel Medium);

- glue brush;

- paper;

- black marker pen;

- Gelato from Faber-Castell;

- brush for Gelatos;

- container with water;

- stencil with circles;

- scissors;

- sponge or cloth to pass the Gelatos in the stencil;

- Vintage Photo Stamp;

- sponge or applicator for stamping;

- tape banana;

- brown, yellow, red, green and lilac watercolor pen;

- white gel pen (or corrective pen);

- pruning shears (optional).

- Elegant Writer Calligraphy pen (optional).
