Voltando de Inverness parei numa cidadezinha linda, infelizmente esqueci o nome, não consigo lembrar mas vejam que carro mais lindo esse da foto! É um Citroen 2CV e claro que vou fazer um desenho dele no meu Sketchbook.



Aliás, não só dele, mas deste belo restaurante da foto abaixo, rústico, antigo, medieval, misterioso...ou seja, tudo de bom!

Returning from Inverness I've stopped in a beautiful little town, unfortunately I've forgotten the name, I don not remember it but look what a beautiful car this one in the photo is! It's a Citroen 2CV and of course I'm going to do a drawing of it in my Sketchbook.

Look at this beautiful restaurant in the picture below, rustic, old, medieval, mysterious ... I mean, it is gorgeous!

Hoje começo uma série de posts de viagem onde também vou mostrar os sketches (desenhos) que fiz de alguns dos lugares por onde passei. É muito bom levar sempre um sketchbook e material pra desenhar e pintar porque sempre achamos paisagens, objetos e coisas curiosas que queremos registrar no nosso sketchbook.

Today I am starting a series of travel posts where I also show the sketches I made of some of the places I went through. It is very good to always carry a sketchbook and material to draw and paint because we always find landscapes, objects and curious things that we want to record in our sketchbook.

Como Envelhecer Papel #2 (Aging Paper) - DIY - VIDEO

Em 2013 lancei o primeiro vídeo do Estúdio Brigit e nele eu mostrava como envelhecer papel de forma bem artística: o papel fica com uma aparência antiga, medieval, manchado....realmente lindo, mas trabalhoso.

No vídeo de hoje mostro um outro modo de envelhecer papel: mais rápido mas com um resultado diferente.

O material que usei foi café pronto, bem forte, e nele eu também coloquei uma colher de café solúvel (daqueles granulados), papel 75g/m² que não aconselho que você use mas usei pra que você possa ver a dificuldade em envelhecer papel com gramatura baixa, um tabuleiro pra colocar o café, e uma mesa coberta com jornais.

In 2013 I released the first Estúdio Brigit's video and in it I showed how to age paper in a very artistic way: the paper has an old, medieval, stained look .... really beautiful, but laborious.

In today's video I show another way of aging paper: faster but with a different result.

The material I used was coffee, very black, and in it I also put a soluble coffee spoon, 75g / m² paper that I do not advise you to use it but I used it so that you can see the difficulty in aging paper with a light weight,  a tray for the coffee, and a table covered with newspapers.

Now you may choose the best method, according to the result you want to get. Good, isn't it?

Como copiar desenhos para aquarela (How to copy drawings for watercolor) - VIDEO

Um dos objetivos de um sketchbook é o de manter nossos desenhos originais acessíveis sempre que precisarmos deles, então quando queremos aquarelar  como fazer pra passar um desenho pra um papel ou bloco de aquarela?



Neste vídeo eu mostro 3 maneiras fáceis e rápidas de fazer isso. Um exercício bastante interessante é copiar o mesmo desenho em 3 ou 4 folhas e em cada uma delas fazer uma pintura diferente, uma técnica diferente, e isso só é possível se tivermos o desenho original.



No desenho acima, quando eu estava aquarelando saí por alguns minutos da minha mesa, e quando voltei meu desenho estava destruído pelas patas curiosas de um de meus gatos, ahhh se eu não tivesse o desenho original.....

One of the goals of a sketchbook is to keep our original designs accessible whenever we need them, so when we want to watercolor how can we copy a drawing for a paper or watercolor block?



In this video I'll show you 3 easy and quick ways to do this. A very interesting exercise is to copy the same drawing in 3 or 4 sheets and in each of them doing a different painting, a different technique, and this is only possible if we have the original drawing.



In the drawing above, when I was watering I left the room for a few minutes, and when I returned my drawing was destroyed by the curious paws of one of my cats, ahhh if I did not have the original drawing .....
