Natal praticamente batendo á nossa porta no mês de Novembro e dá aquela vontade louca de fazer tudo: enfeitar a casa, enfeitar a árvore de Natal, pensar nos doces para a ceia, nos presentinhos.....pensar na família, nos amigos...... e fazer Arte! Arte por toda a parte!

Cartões de Natal são uma verdadeira terapia pra quem faz e uma emoção pra quem recebe. Este ano vou fazer muitos, todos em aquarela porque o efeito é lindo, secam rápido então "pintou está pronto".

Christmas practically knocking at our door in November giving us that crazy desire to do everything: to home decorate, to decorate the Christmas tree, to think of the candies for the supper, the presents ... to think about the family,  friends. ..... and make Art! Art everywhere!

Christmas cards are a real therapy for those who make and an emotion for those who receive them. This year I will paint many, all in watercolor because the effect is beautiful and  dry fast.

É possível fazer vários de uma vez: enquanto algumas partes de uma pintura estão secando podemos começar a pintar outro cartão, depois voltar e acabar o primeiro, e assim vai.

Outra coisa boa é que podemos reunir a família e os amigos pra pintar também! Não importa se já sabem pintar ou não, o que importa é a união, a alegria, o riso, afinal, o Natal é a época mais linda do ano.



Então, pegue seus papéis pra aquarela, corte em tamanhos diversos, pegue suas tintas e pincéis, chame a criançada, mães, pais, avós, amigos, todos,  e vamos lá!

It is possible to paint several cards at a time: while some parts of a painting are drying we can start to paint another card, then come back and finish the first, and so on.

Another good thing is that we can invite family and friends to paint too! It does not matter if they already know how to paint or not, what matters is the union, the joy, the laughter, after all, Christmas is the most beautiful time of the year.



So pick up your watercolor papers, cut into various sizes, get your paints and brushes, call the kids, mom, dad, grandparents, friends, everyone, and let's go!

Material:

- 1 folha de papel vermelha, azul ou amarela pra o fundo;

- 1 folha de papel pra aquarela ligeiramente menor que a folha colorida (pra deixar margem em volta);

- Aquarelas diversas;

- 1 pincel pequeno e redondo, pra fazer detalhes;

- 1 pincel redondo, nº 8, 10 ou 12;

- 1 toalha pequena;

- 2 vidros com água filtrada;

- fita dupla face;

- Medium Iridescente para aquarela (opcional);

- carimbo natalino (opcional);

- secador de emboss (opcional).

Material:

- 1 sheet of red, blue or yellow paper to the bottom;

- 1 sheet of watercolor paper slightly smaller than the colored sheet (to leave margin around);

- Various watercolors;

- 1 small round brush to make details;

- 1 round brush, nº 8, 10 or 12;

- 1 small towel;

- 2 glasses with filtered water;

- double-sided tape;

- Iridescent medium for watercolor (optional);

- Christmas stamp (optional);

- emboss dryer (optional).

A Viagem (155): Em Edingurgh (The Trip: In Edinburgh)

Vamos voltar aos post de viagem que ficaram parados em Outubro por causa do Inktober e um ótimo recomeço é mostrando a capela de St. Margaret, dentro do castelo de Edinburgh, construída por volta de 1130 por David I para sua mãe Margaret e é a construção mais antiga de Edinburgh.



Atualmente ainda há casamentos e cerimônias religiosas nela mas também há um memorial em homenagem aos escoceses que morreram nas guerras mundiais e em outras guerras, com o nome de cada escocês morto em combate.

Let's go back to the travel posts that stood in October because of the Inktober and a great start is showing a chapel of St. Margaret, inside Edinburgh Castle, built around 1130 by David I for his mother Margaret and is the oldest building  of Edinburgh.

There is still religious ceremonies in there, but there is also a memorial in honor of the Scots who died in world wars and other wars, with the name of each Scotsman killed in combat.

E portas! Mas só as antigas, de preferência, medievais!



Tenho uma incrível curiosidade por portas porque elas são testemunhas de épocas. Tantas pessoas passaram por elas: reis, rainhas, ricos, pobres, mulheres, homens, crianças, criminosos, agentes da lei, fofoqueiros, cozinheiros, empregados, professores, cantores, animais.....tudo! 

And doors! But only the old, preferably medieval ones!



I have an incredible curiosity about doors because they are witnesses of times. So many people passed through them: kings, queens, rich, poor, women, men, children, criminals, law enforcement, gossipers, cooks, employees, teachers, singers, animals..... everybody!

Além disso também foram instrumento de tortura quando aprisionavam alguém,  ou quando mantinham segredos amorosos, quando impediam entradas inesperadas ou de inimigos, quando abriam pra dar a liberdade......se as portas pudessem gravar tudo, o que iríamos ver?

Besides, they were also an instrument of torture when they imprisoned someone, or when they kept love secrets, when they prevented unexpected entrances or enemies, when they opened to give freedom ... if the doors could have recorded everything, what would we see?
