Junk Journal é um livro bastante popular especialmente nos EUA, Canadá e Austrália, nem tanto na Europa, nem tanto no Brasil. Talvez você já tenha visto um em algum vídeo em inglês.....são bonitos, diferentes...mas afinal, o que é exatamente um Junk Journal? E pra que serve? Como podemos usar um Junk Journal??

 Junk Journal is a very popular book especially in the USA, Canada and Australia, not so much in Europe, neither so much in Brazil. Maybe you have already seen one in some English video ..... they are beautiful, different ... but after all, what exactly is a Junk Journal? And whatis it for? How can we use a Junk Journal ??

Primeiro vamos ver do que é feito um Junk Journal, pra podermos entender melhor todo o resto. Um Junk Journal é um livro feito á mão, ou caderno, feito basicamente com material reciclado ou com material aproveitado de outros materiais, por exemplo, o miolo pode ser de outros cadernos ou livros, revistas, papéis de presente, envelopes, pautas musicais, papel kraft, mapas, cartões postais, cartões de Natal,  papel de scrap, papel de seda, papel quadriculado, enciclopédias, etc...

Já as capas podem ser de outros livros ou de caixas, de papelão, etc.....revestidas com papel, tecido, etc....



Então basicamente podemos dizer que é um livro multi mídia já que usamos diversos materiais e com certeza diferentes técnicas para faze-lo!

So basically we can say that it is a multi media book since we use different materials and certainly different techniques to make it!

Por exemplo, quantas vezes temos um papel bonito em casa mas que não tem utilidade alguma? Papéis de balas, de sabonetes, de presentes.....mas não queremos jogar fora porque nos trazem boas recordações, então o que fazer com esse material? Fazemos um Junk Journal!

Então um Junk Journal pode ser a reunião de várias coisas que temos, colocadas sob a forma de um livro!



Claro que  existem Junk Journals á venda, lindos, com efeito antigo, ou modernos, a até temáticos: Junk Journal de viagem, de assinaturas, de poemas, de cidades, de aniversário, de Natal, de Dia das Mães, de bebês, de artistas,......de todos os assuntos que pudermos imaginar!

For example, how many times do we have a beautiful role at home but that has no use whatsoever? Roles of candies, soaps, gifts ..... but we do not want to throw them  away because they bring us good memories, so what to do with this material? We do a Junk Journal!

So a Junk Journal can be the gathering of several things in the form of a book!

Of course there are Junk Journals for sale, gorgeous, old fashioned, or modern, up to themed: Junk Journal for travel, signatures, poems, cities, birthday, Christmas, Mother's Day, babies, artists .. .... of all the subjects that we can imagine!

Podemos usar um Junk Journal como Planner, como Agenda, podemos colocar fotos nele, escrever poemas, anotações, como diário, enfim pra escrever tudo que quisermos!

We can use a Junk Journal as a Planner, as a diary, we can put photos in it, write poems, notes, we can write everything we want in it!

E uma das características do Junk Journal é ter as páginas enfeitadas com tags, rendas, envelopes, carimbos, recortes, fitas, pérolas.......uma infinidade de materiais são colocados no Junk Journal pra que ele fique robusto, gostoso de pegar, e cheio de "compartimentos secretos" e coisinhas que fazem nossos olhos brilharem!

Como fazer Margem e prender Folha de Bloco? - Aquarela (How to Make Margin and Trap Block Sheet?) -VIDEO

Sim, parece simples, não é? Fazer margem em volta do papel usando fita crepe e prender folha de bloco......mas ás vezes o que parece simples pode ficar um pouco complicado na hora de desfazer, então vamos ver como fazer isso da melhor forma possível, isto é: sem danificar o papel.

Quando a folha é avulsa podemos prende-la com fita crepe em um pedaço de papelão, de madeira, ou até na mesa para evitar que o papel enrole quando for molhado, especialmente se a gramatura for menor que 300g/m². Estou falando de aquarela e guache, claro.

Quando queremos prender a folha de bloco podemos fazer da mesma forma, e ela fica presa nas laterais do bloco com a fita.

Em ambos os casos, prender a folha a deixa mais firme, fixa, sem "escorregar" na superfície. Além disso podemos usar a fita crepe pra fazer margem em toda a volta que poderá servir como um "passe partout" se formos emoldurar a pintura, por isso podemos escolher a espessura da fita crepe de acordo com o que queremos: margem estreita, margem larga, etc.

Yes, it sounds simple, doesn't it? Making  margin around a paper using tape and fastening a block sheet ...... but sometimes what seems simple can get a little complicated at the time of undo, so let's see how to do it in the best way possible, that is : without damaging the paper.

When the sheet is loose we can attach it with tape to a piece of cardboard, wood, or even the table to prevent the paper from wrapping when it is wet, especially if the weight is less than 300g / m². I'm talking about watercolor and gouache, of course.

When we want to fasten a block sheet we can do the same, and it gets stuck on the sides of the block with the tape.

In both cases, fastening the sheet leaves it firmer, fixed, without "slipping" on the surface. In addition we can use the tape to make a margin all around that can serve as a "pass partout" if we frame the painting, so we can choose the width of the tape according to what we want: narrow margin, wide margin , etc

Pra evitar que a fita grude demais no papel precisamos tirar um pouco da cola dela, então antes de cola-la no papel, a colamos em um pedaço de tecido ou até no nosso braço, por exemplo, e dessa forma quando formos tira-la do papel (da pintura) a probabilidade dela rasgar o papel é bem pequena. A fita tem que ser retirada assim que a pintura estiver seca.

Mas é preciso observar alguns detalhes na hora de tirar a fita: 

- comece sempre pela última fita que você colou;

- retire-a sempre de dentro pra fora do papel, e não ao contrário;

- ao retirar, faça um ângulo de 90º, como mostra a foto abaixo;

- retire com delicadeza;

- se o papel começar a rasgar, pare e recomece pelo outro lado.

 To prevent the tape from sticking too much on the paper we need to take some of the glue out of it, so before gluing it onto the paper, we stick it on a piece of fabric or even on our arm, for example, so that way when we pull it of the paper (painting) the probability of tearing the paper is quite small. The tape has to be removed as soon as the paint is dry.

But it is necessary to observe some details at the time of taking the tape out:

- always start with the last tape you pasted;

- always remove it from the inside of the sheet, not the other way around;

- when removing, make a 90º angle, as shown in the picture below;

- remove gently;

- If the paper begins to tear, stop and start from the other side.

Estamos quase no fim dos posts onde mostro um pouco do Reino Unido e o no de hoje temos mais um pouco da Escócia, país lindo, com cores incríveis que eu nunca vi em nenhum outro país onde estive.



A vegetação é rica, multicor, ideal pra qualquer artista porque inspira, dá vontade de sentar e pintar!

We are almost at the end of the posts where I show a little of the UK and today we have a little bit of Scotland, beautiful country with incredible colors that I have never seen in any other country where I have been.

The vegetation is rich, multicolored, ideal for any artist because it inspires, makes you want to sit and paint!

Além da Natureza, a história da ilha é muito rica em detalhes, em ambientes, lugares, símbolos, casas, vilarejos, castelos....fico pensando em como as pessoas vivam, como era o dia a dia, a alimentação, o transporte, as roupas...e vi tudo isso aqui no Reino Unido documentado nos museus, nos monumentos, nas ruas.



Um povo que valoriza sua história sempre será lembrado!

In addition to nature, the history of the island is very rich in details, in environments, places, symbols, houses, villages, castles .... I keep thinking about how people lived, how the everyday life was, food, transportation , the clothes ... and I have seen all this here in the United Kingdom documented in museums, monuments, on the streets.

People who values their history will always be remembered!

Em épocas passadas também haviam as guerras, as intrigas, as brigas.....mas isso ainda existe em qualquer lugar do mundo, infelizmente, pois somos uma raça bélica, sempre digo isso. Entra século, sai século e os humanos estão sempre com  brigas, intrigas: pessoas contra pessoas, países contra países. Será que um dia teremos a paz absoluta?

Não acredito nisso.

In past times there were also wars, intrigues, fights ..... but this still exists anywhere in the world, unfortunately, because we are a warlike race, I always say that. Centuries come and go and humans are always fighting: people against people, countries against countries. Will we ever have absolute peace?

I do not believe.

Embora eu faça parte dessa raça bélica procuro ver sempre o lado bom das coisas: a evolução tecnológica, científica, de vestuário, de comportamento, de alimentação.....é mais fácil pensar assim.



Quando estou na Escócia é quando meu coração está feliz e em paz.

Although I am part of this warlike race I always try to see the good side of things: technological evolution, scientific evolution, clothing, behavior, food ..... it is easier to think this way.

When I'm in Scotland, is when my heart is happy and at peace.
