Quem vê vídeos de Art Journaling no YouTube com certeza já reparou naqueles papéis transparentes e lindos que ás vezes são usados como base, e colados nos sketchbooks, não é?
Aqueles papéis são vendidos em folhas e com temas: Natal, viagem, flores, etc... e até agora ainda não vi nenhuma loja aqui no Brasil vendendo esses papéis.
Mas é tão fácil fazer, vamos fazer?
Anyone who sees Art Journaling videos on YouTube has certainly noticed those transparent and beautiful roles that are sometimes used as a basis, and pasted on sketchbooks, right?
Those papers are sold in sheets, with themes: Christmas, travel, flowers, etc ... and so far I have not seen any stores here in Brazil selling those papers.
But they are so easy to make, let's go!
Precisamos de folhas de papel vegetal ou manteiga, eu prefiro as de papel manteiga, carimbos e carimbeiras com tintas Archival ou permanentes, isto é, resistentes a água depois que secam.
We need some sheets of clear paper, stamps and Archival ink pads or permanent ink pads, that is, water resistant after the ink drys.
É interessante fazer por temas, e ter também algum carimbo com texto. Então, é só carimbar o papel na vertical e na horizontal, com cuidado pra não borrar.

No fim sobram espaços onde os carimbos não cabem mais, então também é interessante ter carimbos bem pequenos de flores, folhas, estrelas, etc...algo bem pequeno pra preencher esses espaços.

E pronto! Quando faço esses papéis gosto de fazer bastante, vários de uma vez, assim fico com uma boa reserva de papéis transparentes carimbados. Fácil, né?

Hoje temos o terceiro vídeo do Parque Lage, onde faço mais um desenho e pinto com aquarela.
A foto acima representa a pintura de hoje; é o pátio interno do palacete com cores ocre, amareladas, sutis toques de rosado e azul, e o verde da mata ao fundo.

Que o Outono dure até o Verão! Esse é meu desejo todas as vezes que o Outono começa, aliás, digo o mesmo do Inverno.
Acho que só na Região Sul do Brasil o tempo é mais ameno, mas aqui no Rio é calor o ano inteiro, parece uma fogueira, e eu que não gosto de calor......sofro bastante.
Mas hoje usei esse Art Journal pra falar de um assunto que o Jake Parker também falou em um dos vídeos dele, o título é "Finished, not perfect" onde ele comenta sobre a importância de terminar um trabalho de arte, seja ele qual for.
E eu concordo.
Quando começamos um trabalho nem sempre ele fica do jeito que imaginamos, como este Art Journal que fiz, então é mais fácil parar e jogar o trabalho fora do que continuar e terminar o trabalho. Não queremos continuar porque não era daquele jeito, ou porque sabemos onde estão os erros e não podemos conserta-los, enfim, é mais fácil deixar de lado.
Mas, quando deixamos um trabalho de lado, sem finalizar, também deixamos nossa auto estima de lado e com o tempo podemos desanimar ao ponto de deixar de fazer arte porque nosso subconsciente começa a dizer: "você começa mas não acaba, você não tem capacidade pra fazer arte, vá fazer algo mais fácil", e assim muitas pessoas largam a arte.
Não gostamos de nos sentir incapazes de fazer algo, então o medo nos leva a abandonar a arte.
Então, o que fazer quando estamos fazendo uma arte e ela não está como gostaríamos? CONTINUAMOS até que esteja pronta, finalizada!
Os erros cometidos também ficam no subconsciente e na nossa mente de forma que no próximo trabalho esses erros serão evitados, e assim sucessivamente até que um dia conseguimos fazer uma arte e dizer: "quase perfeita, está ótima".
E me pergunto: "Pra que essa necessidade louca de perfeição?" Perfeição não existe em arte. Até os grandes mestres tinham dias em que a arte não dava certo, mas eles continuavam, insistiam e aprendiam com os erros.
Então, todo artista que começa a fazer um trabalho de arte, seja ele pintura, desenho, escultura, etc., tem que finalizar, terminar o trabalho. Aprender com os acertos e com os erros.
O que fazer com a arte que não deu certo? A gente guarda! Se estiver em um sketchbook melhor ainda! E mais á frente podemos ver nossa evolução, nossos antigos erros e o quanto evoluímos.
Faça essa experiência: comece um sketchbook, desenhe todos os dias, e quando o sketchbook acabar olhe com atenção seus desenhos desde o começo e veja a sua evolução, pode ser pequena, mas ela existe!
E por todos esses motivos eu terminei este Art Journal.

I think that only in the Southern Region of Brazil the weather is milder, but here in Rio it is heat all year round, it seems like a bonfire, and I do not like heat ...... I suffer a lot.
But today I used this Art Journal to talk about a subject that Jake Parker also talked about in one of his videos, the title is "Finished, not perfect" where he comments on the importance of finishing a work of art, whatever it is.
And I agree.
When we start an art, it does not always look the way we have imagined it, like this Art Journal I did, so it's easier to stop and throw the art away than to continue and finish it. We do not want to go on because it was not that way, or because we know where the mistakes are and we can not fix them, anyway, it's easier to let it go.
But when we leave an art unfinished, we also leave our self esteem aside and over time we can become discouraged to the point of ceasing to make art because our subconscious begins to say: "you start but you do not end, you do not have the capacity to make art, go make something easier, "and so many people give up making art.
We do not like to feel incapable of doing something, so fear leads us to abandon art.
So what do we do when we are making an art and it is not as we would like? WE CONTINUE until it is ready, finished!
The mistakes made are also in the subconscious and in our minds so that in the next art work these mistakes will be avoided, and so on until one day we can make an art and say "almost perfect, it's great".
And I ask myself, "Why is this crazy need for perfection?" Perfection does not exist in art. Even the great masters had days when art did not work, but they continued, insisted, and learned from mistakes.
So, every artist that begins to do a work of art, be it painting, drawing, sculpture, etc., has to finish the work. Learn from successes and mistakes.What to do with art that did not work? We keep it! If it is in a sketchbook, great! And further ahead we can see our evolution, our old mistakes and how we have evolved.
Make this experiment: start a sketchbook, draw every day, and when the sketchbook ends look at your drawings from the beginning and see your evolution, it may be small, but it does exist!
And for all those reasons I finished this Art Journal.
