Olá, hoje é dia de STORY JOURNAL  e desta vez de princesa: A Bela Adormecida!



É uma história linda,  na verdade é a minha preferida porque sou fã da Malévola. Sempre acho que as bruxas são incompreendidas, por que será?



Neste STORY JOURNAL é possível ler a história completa e o livro ficou uma fofura cheio de folhas diferentes, coloridas, rendas, adesivos, pingentes...tudo que uma menina gosta, sim, porque este é um livro bem "menininha".

Hello, today is STORY JOURNAL day and this time of a princess: Sleeping Beauty!

It's a beautiful story, actually it's my favorite because I'm a Maleficent fan. I always think witches are misunderstood, aren't they?

In this STORY JOURNAL it is possible to read the full story and the book is so cute, full of different colored sheets, lace, stickers, pendants ... everything a girl likes, yes, because this is a very "little girl" book.

Mas o que fazer com um livro assim? Pode-se colar fotos nele, fazer desenhos, anotações, pinturas, colagens, ler a história e ainda uma outra ideia é deixar que a criança escreva/desenhe, faça sua arte nele e guardar como recordação de infância.

But what to do with such a book? You can paste photos in it, make drawings, notes, paintings, collages, read the story and yet another idea is to let the children write / draw, make their art in it and keep as a childhood memory.

Quando meus filhos eram pequenos eu ainda não fazia livros artesanais, então eu comprava cadernos de desenho pra que eles pudessem desenhar, pintar e colar o que quisessem, pra que fossem criativos. Muitas vezes eles desenhavam em folhas soltas também e o resultado é que tenho umas 2 bolsas cheias de folhas soltas com as artes deles, da época em que eram crianças. Também guardei os cadernos de desenho mas se eles fossem assim bonitos como este Story Journal seria ótimo. 

When my children were small I was not making handmade books yet, so I used to buy sketchbooks so they could draw, paint and paste whatever they wanted, so they could be creative. Often they drew on loose sheets too and the result is that I have about 2 bags full of loose sheets of paper with their arts, from the time they were children. I also kept the sketchbooks but if they were so cute like this Story Journal would be great.

Essa é uma ótima ideia pra quem tem filhas pequenas, ou afilhadas, ou pra quem precisa dar um presente pra alguém que tenha. Além disso, as folhas com gramatura 120 permitem que seja usado também como álbum de fotos. 

This is a great idea for those who have small daughters, or godchildren, or who need to give a gift to someone who has. In addition, sheets weighing 120 allow the journal to be used as a photo album.

Como secar folhas de papel envelhecidas mais rápido -(How to dry faster sheets of aged paper) - VÍDEO

 Gente, cansei! Mas cansei num nível super top de universo!



Cansei de esperar folhas envelhecidas com café secarem naturalmente, demora horas, dias, semanas pra fazer míseras 100 folhas então parti pra ignorância: botei todas elas dentro do forno!



E deu certo!



Todas as vezes que tenho que envelhecer papel tenho o problema do tempo de secagem das folhas. Envelhecer 10, 20 folhas.....tudo bem, mas imagina envelhecer 300, 500 folhas?



Então fiz uma "linha de produção" especial pra envelhecer e logo em seguida secar o papel usando o forno.

Guys, I'm tired! But I got tired on a super top universe level!

I am tired of waiting for dye sheets with coffee to dry naturally, it takes hours, days, weeks to make miserable 100 sheets so I went off to ignorance: I put them all in the oven!

And it worked!

Every time I have to age old paper I have the problem of the drying time of the sheets. Aging 10, 20 sheets ..... all right, but what about aging 300, 500 sheets?



So I made a special "production line" to age and then dry the paper using the oven.

Pra isso uso o método nº2 (aquele que mergulhar o papel numa bandeja com café), coloco as folhas molhadas em cima de uma mesa forrada com jornal, espero cerca de 20 minutos apenas pra que o excesso de café seque um pouco, em seguida coloco metade das folhas em um tabuleiro, a outra metade em outro, e boto pra secar no forno na temperatura mínima, que no meu é de 160ºC.



Espero uns 10 minutos, retiro as folhas do forno e deixo apenas as que estiverem ainda úmidas mas acrescento mais folhas, das que estavam na mesa esperando pra irem pro forno. E assim vai!

For this I use Method # 2 (the one that dips the paper in a tray with coffee), I place the wet sheets on a table lined with newspaper, I wait about 20 minutes just so that the excess of coffee dries a little, half the sheets in a tray, the other half in another, and place them to dry in the oven at the minimum temperature, which in mine oven is 160ºC.

I wait about 10 minutes, take the sheets from the oven and leave only the ones that are still moist but I add more sheets, from those that were in the table waiting to go to the oven. And so it goes!

Em uma tarde consigo envelhecer umas 300 folhas! É cansativo, é preciso tomar cuidado pra não deixar tempo demais no forno e elas torrarem, ou pior, pegarem fogo...mas vale o trabalho!

In one afternoon I can dye about 300 leaves! It's tiring, I have to be careful not to leave too much time in the oven so they toast, or worse, catch fire ... but it's worth the work!

Como fazer Etiquetas - DIY (Labels) - VÍDEO

Como fazer etiquetas pra tudo? Sim, eu coloco etiquetas em vidros, pastas, caixas, potes, plásticos, livros, etc.. e isso facilita bastante na hora de procurar alguma coisa, principalmente aqui no estúdio.



Um estúdio de arte organizado poupa tempo porque fica fácil de achar o que queremos e o trabalho flui mais rápido, por isso sempre que posso coloco etiqueta em alguma coisa.



Eu uso esta ferramenta, que é a Envelope Punch Board, que faz envelopes mas também faz tags e etiquetas de forma bem fácil e rápida.

How to make labels for everything? Yes, I put labels on glass, folders, boxes, pots, plastics, books, etc ... labeling makes a lot easier to look for something, especially here in the studio.
