Como fazer Decalque (ou pele) de Guardanapo, você sabe?

 Decalques são transparências que podemos colar em cima de qualquer superfície, podemos até fazer tags com eles sem precisar colar, podemos fazer envelopes diretamente com eles, podem ser usados como folhas de livros....você consegue imaginar isso? É bom demais!!

Do you know how to make Napkin Decal (or skin)?

Decals are transparencies that we can paste on any surface, we can even make tags with them without having to paste, we can make envelopes directly with them, they can be used as sheets of books ... can you imagine that? Is so good!!

Preciso de uma superfície de silicone, ou alguma superfície onde eu possa colocar cola diretamente em cima e retira-la com facilidade depois de seca. É possível usar um plástico para isso.

I need a silicone surface, or some surface where I can put glue directly on top and remove it easily after it dries. It's possible to  use a piece of plastic for this in case you don't have a silicone surface.

Então eu romovo as 2 folhas de guardanapo brancas e fico apenas com a folha que tem o desenho.

So I remove the 2 sheets of white napkins and keep the sheet that has the drawing.

I'm going to use 2 types of glue that I've made here in the studio and I've already shown in videos and previous posts: the first is a decoupage glue made with the blend of industrialized materials and you can see the recipe here: https://bit.ly / 2G2N735

Aplico bastante cola para decoupage diretamente na superfície que no caso, é no meu tapete anti aderente.

I apply a good amount of decoupage glue directly on the surface which is on my anti-stick mat.

Suavemente, deixo que o guardanapo cubra a superfície com cola...

Gently, I let the napkin cover the surface with glue ...

... e com uma esponja macia ajudo na colagem pressionando suavemente, principalmente nos lugares onde vejo pequenas bolhas de ar.

... and with a soft sponge I help the glue by pressing gently, especially in places where I see small air bubbles.

Faço o mesmo procedimento, desta vez com a outra cola para decoupage.

I do the same procedure, this time with the other decoupage glue.

Deixo secar por aproximadamente 48 horas ou até ter certeza de que as colas estão completamente secas.

I let them dry for about 48 hours or until I'm sure the glue is completely dry.

Quando a secagem está completa os guardanapos ficam transparentes, é a hora de retira-los da superfície anti aderente, cuidadosamente para que não rasguem.

When the drying is complete the napkins are transparent, it is time to remove them from the anti-adherent surface, carefully not to tear.

A cola seca, junto com o guardanapo, formou uma película, uma transparência que é o que chamamos de "decalque". Algumas pessoas também chamam esse trabalho de "pele de guardanapo".



Podemos fazer um mundo de arte com essas transparências: colar diretamente sobre qualquer superfície, usa-las transparentes como tags, como folhas de livros, como envelopes, para revestir caixas, objetos decorativos, etc.... são muitas possibilidades!



É um trabalho diferente, criativo, bonito e de grande impacto porque tudo fica lindo quando aplicamos esses decalques. 



Mas atenção: esses decalques não podem ser aplicados em objetos que serão molhados ou lavados como copos, garrafas, xícaras, tecidos, etc....apenas em objetos decorativos.

The dry glue, along with the napkin, formed a film, a transparency that is what we call a "decal". Some people also call it a "napkin skin".

We can make a world of art with these transparencies: paste directly on any surface, use them transparent as tags, as book sheets, as envelopes, to cover boxes, decorative objects, etc ... there are many possibilities!

It's a different art work, creative, beautiful and with great impact because everything looks beautiful when we apply these decals.

But attention: these decals can not be applied to objects that will be wet or washed as cups, bottles, fabrics, etc ... they have to be used only in decorative objects.

Ele é muito usado, extremamente útil porque nos ajuda a fazer gradação, a clarear tons, a isolar pedaços na nossa pintura....ele é um queridinho!

In this second video about Basic Techniques for COLOR PENCIL, we will see how to mix tones of the same color and also how to mix two different colors, with a smooth gradation, and other tips.

What do you do with the white pencil? Do not use? Throw it away? No!!

It is very used, extremely useful because it helps us to make gradation, to lighten shades, to separate pieces in our painting .... he is a must use!

É sempre bom que a mão seja suave na aplicação da cor no papel. Vamos acrescentando mais camadas de cor até alcançarmos o tom que queremos e  é importante a forma como seguramos o lápis porque precisamos de conforto mas ao mesmo tempo de controle nos movimentos.



Podemos trabalhar as camadas de forma vertical, horizontal, inclinada, numa mistura que faz com que o traço do lápis desapareça e a pintura fique uniforme.

It is always good that the hand is smooth in the application of color on paper. We keep adding more layers of color until we achieve the tone we want and it is important the way we hold the pencil because we need comfort but at the same time we need control in the movements.

We can work the layers vertically, horizontally, slopingly, in a mixture that causes the trace of the pencil to disappear and the paint to be uniform.

Quando queremos fazer uma gradação precisamos escolher onde será o tom mais forte e o tom mais suave na nossa pintura. 

When we want to make a gradation we have to choose where the strongest tone and the softest tone in our painting will be.

Eu gosto de começar gradações com uma base de cor bem suave e á medida em que me aproximo da parte onde o tom será mais forte, carregar gradativamente no lápis sempre com atenção aos movimentos para que no fim não haja uma linha divisória na pintura.



 Essa linha tem que ser atenuada com os movimentos verticais, horizontais, inclinados e até em pequenos e fechados círculos.

I like to start gradations with a very soft color base and as I approach the part where the tone will be stronger, I gradually load in the pencil always with attention to the movements so that in the end there is no dividing line in the painting.

This line has to be attenuated with the vertical, horizontal, inclined movements and even in small and closed circles.

Para quem está começando na arte do Lápis de Cor, um exercício muito bom é brincar com as gradações de todos os lápis da caixa. 

Conhecer o material que temos é uma parte fundamental no nosso trabalho.

For those who are starting out in the art of Color Pencil, a very good exercise is to play with the gradations of all the pencils in the box.

Knowing the material that we have is a fundamental part of our work.

O uso do apontador deve ser moderado, afinal, podemos acabar com os lápis rapidamente!

Em vez de usar o apontador sempre, podemos rodar o lápis nas mãos á medida em que vamos pintando assim o lápis fica com a ponta fina.



O uso do apontador deve ser apenas quando realmente precisamos pintar detalhes e precisamos de uma ponta fina pra isso, ou quando a mina do lápis já estiver muito perto da madeira.

The use of the sharpener should be moderate, after all, we can finish the pencils quickly!

Instead of always using the sharpener  we can turn the pencil in the hands as we go painting so the pencil gets a thin point.

The use of the sharpener should only happen when we really need to paint details and we need a thin point for this, or when the pencil lead is already too close to the wood.

Podemos fazer gradações com lápis "da mesma família", ou seja, com cores parecidas......

We can make gradations with pencils "of the same family", that is, with similar colors ......

...... e porque não com cores diferentes?

É um ótimos exercício fazer gradações com cores complementares ou até  com cores que não combinam entre si.



A Teoria das Cores pode ser aplicada nas nossas pinturas com lápis de cor. 

Eu disse "pode" porque existem artistas que aparentemente usam cores que nos deixam quase "em choque": ou porque as cores não combinam, ou porque são fortes demais, seja lá como for esses artistas dão a impressão de que não conhecem a Teoria das Cores.....mas não se engane, eles sabem muito bem como usar as cores!



Talvez a intenção deles seja realmente causar choque, repulsa.....da mesma forma que outros artistas gostam de causar paz, harmonia...... essa é a linguagem do artista, é a forma que ele tem de demonstrar sua arte.

Até para fazer uma arte que não agrada a todos é preciso entender de arte.

...... and why not with different colors?

It is a great exercise to make gradations with complementary colors or even with colors that do not match each other.

The Theory of Colors can be applied in our paintings with colored pencils.

I said "can" because there are artists who apparently use colors that leave us almost "in shock": either because the colors do not match, or because they are too strong, whatever, these artists give the impression that they do not know the Theory of Colors ..... but make no mistake, they know very well how to use the colors!

Perhaps their intention is really to cause shock, repulsion ..... just as other artists like to cause peace, harmony ...... this is the language of the artist, it is the way he has to demonstrate his art .

Even to make an art that does not please everyone it is necessary to understand art.

Então tente fazer gradações com cores completamente antagônicas, que não combinam e que mal mesclam entre si.

So try to make gradations with completely antagonistic colors, which do not match and barely blend together.

E o lápis branco, para que serve?

O lápis branco pode ajudar na gradação de tons! 



Deve ser passado suavemente, nos movimentos que mencionei acima, até que o resultado seja obtido.

Como tem pigmento branco ele clareia as cores por isso deve ser usado com calma.

And the white pencil, what's the use of it?

The white pencil can help in the gradation of tones!

It should be gently passed, in the movements I mentioned above, until the result is obtained.

As it has white pigment it brightens the colors so it should be used carefully.

Convém que o lápis branco esteja sempre limpo para não contaminar uma cor com outra, além de contaminar o próprio branco. 

Em vez de aponta-lo no apontador, podemos esfrega-lo suavemente em uma lixa fina ou até em uma lixa para unhas.

The white pencil should always be clean to avoid contaminating one color with another, as well as contaminating the white itself.

Instead of pointing it at the sharpener, we can rub it gently in a fine sandpaper or even in a nail file.

Perceba que o lápis branco faz uma espécie de polimento, de blindagem, em cima da pintura então aplicar novamente o lápis colorido em cima da pintura que já está polida com o lápis branco pode não funcionar como esperamos.

Por isso eu sempre digo e repito: a melhor forma de entendermos nosso material é praticando, experimentando.

Notice that the white pencil does a kind of polishing, shielding, on top of the paint then reapply the colored pencil on top of the paint that is already polished with the white pencil may not work as we expect.

That's why I always say and repeat: the best way to understand our material is to practice, experiment.

DECOUPAGE: Guardanapo Opaco e Colagem Lisa - DIY - (Opaque Napkin and Smooth Collage) - VÍDEO

Quando usamos guardanapo para decoupar vidros, papéis, louça, etc...conseguimos uma decoupagem perfeita porque usamos pequenas partes do guardanapo, aplicamos pincel com cola por cima e pronto!

Usar guardanapos para fazer Decoupage é uma ótima maneira de enfeitar nossos trabalhos mas quando precisamos usar o guardanapo em tamanho grande sempre nos vem à mente a visão de uma superfície não muito lisa, com "rugas", porque a colagem do guardanapo fica mais difícil de ser feita.

 Como deixar a decoupage o mais lisa possível?

A técnica que vou mostrar aqui será aplicada em papel mas pode ser feita em qualquer superfície: em garrafas, pratos, copos, imagens em gesso, caixas, etc....



Vou aplicar em papel porque depois usarei esse papel decoupado para fazer um envelope.



Na foto abaixo, eu coloco meu guardanapo em cima do papel que quero decoupar e com lápis faço o contorno.  Guardanapos vem com folhas triplas, mas já descolei a parte do desenho das outras duas obtendo assim um guardanapo com folha bem fina, quase transparente.

When we use napkins to decoupage glasses, papers, boxes, etc ... we get a perfect decoupagem because we use small parts of the napkin, we apply brush with glue over all and we're ready!

Using napkins to make Decoupage is a great way to embellish our work but when we need to use the full-size napkin it always comes to our mind the sight of a not too smooth surface,  with "wrinkles" because glueing a napkin on a large surface is quite hard to be done.

 How to leave the decoupage as smooth as possible?



The technique I will show here will be applied on paper but can be done on any surface: in bottles, plates, glasses, plaster images, boxes, etc ....

I will apply it on paper because later I will use this decoupage paper to make an envelope.

In the picture below, I put my napkin on the paper that I want to decoupage and with a pencil I make the outline. Napkins come with triple sheets, but I already took off the drawing part from the other two, thus getting a napkin with a very thin, almost transparent sheet.

Em seguida, preencho com cola para decoupage  a parte que delimitei com lápis e é preciso que isso seja feito rapidamente, antes que a cola comece a secar.

Then I fill in the delimited part with decoupage glue and this must be done quickly, before the glue begins to dry.

Delicadamente coloco o guardanapo sobre a cola e estico suavemente as beiradas na tentativa de que meu guardanapo não fique encolhido.

Gently, I place the napkin over the glue and gently stretch the edges in the attempt to keep my napkin from shrinking.

Coloco um plástico maior que o meu guardanapo por cima,

I put a plastic bigger than my napkin on top,

e com uma dobradeira vou, delicadamente e com pressão bem suave, alisando o plástico e consequentemente ajudando o guardanapo a colar, mas sem rugas. Faço movimentos circulares, horizontais e verticais conforme a necessidade em evitar ou até em desfazer possíveis rugosidades.

and with a folder I begin, gently and with very soft pressure, smoothing the plastic and consequently helping the napkin to paste, but without wrinkles. I make circular, horizontal and vertical movements according to the need to avoid or even undo possible roughness.

Com cuidado retiro o plástico e deixo a decoupage secar completamente.

Carefully I remove the plastic and let the decoupage dry completely.

Corto o excesso de papel e pronto: uma decoupage com nenhuma ruga ou com o mínimo de rugas.

I cut the excess paper and it is ready: a decoupage with no wrinkle or with less wrinkles.

A seguir, esta etapa é opcional e depende do quanto precisamos que nosso guardanapo seja liso: é a hora de passar a ferro.

A temperatura deve ser "algodão", e suavemente tentamos disfarçar qualquer ruga que tenha sido feita no ato da colagem.

This step is optional and depends on how much we need our napkin to be smooth: it's time to iron.

The temperature should be "cotton", and we gently try to disguise any wrinkles that have been made at the time of glueing.

E pronto! Uma decoupagem linda, lisa, perfeita para nossos trabalhos!
