Hoje vamos fazer uma técnica de sombreado diferente da que usei no pássaro abaixo, onde o sombreado foi feito com tonalidades quase sempre de uma única cor.
Today we are going to do a shading technique a bit different from the one I have used in the bird below, where the shading was done with shades almost always of a single color.
O que quero mostrar a você é como fiz a pintura da foto abaixo onde vemos partes com sombra e partes com luz, e o contorno dos objetos está perfeitamente definido.
What I want to show you is how I've painted the picture below where we see parts with shadow and parts with light, and the outline of objects is perfectly defined.
Observe também o cuidado em indicar a luz que incide nos objetos, neste caso a fonte de luz vem da parte direita no livro. Por quê? Porque eu escolhi que a luz ficasse na parte direita, no meio do livro.
Also note the care in indicating the light that falls on the objects, in this case the light source comes from the right part of the book. Why? Because I chose the light to be in the right part, in the middle of the book.
Costumo desenhar a lápis uma pequena fonte de luz, uma lâmpada por exemplo, porque a pintura não será finalizada inteiramente em um dia, então, como são dias e ás vezes até semanas pintando um único desenho acho interessante que a marcação da fonte de luz seja feita logo no início pra não ser esquecida durante todo o processo de pintura.
I often draw a small light source on the page, a lamp for example, because the painting will not be finished entirely in a day, so as I spend days and sometimes even weeks painting a single drawing I find it interesting that the marking of the light source is made early on in order not to be forgotten throughout the painting process.
Como escolhi minha luz na metade da página e do lado direito, com a mão consigo entender como os raios de luz atingem os objetos do meu desenho.
Os objetos que estiverem no mesmo nível da luz terão uma iluminação em sua lateral direita, outros, mais acima da fonte de luz terão a iluminação vinda de baixo;
Já os que estiverem abaixo da fonte de luz, terão uma iluminação na parte de cima.
As I've chosen my light in the middle of the page and on the right side, with my hand I can understand how the rays of light reach the objects of my drawing.
Objects that are on the same level of light will have an illumination on their right side while objects above the light source will have the illumination coming from below;
Those ones below the light source will have an illumination at the top.
Para fazer esse efeito vamos precisar de canetas hidrocor ou de canetas a álcool, de preferência com pontas finas e de todas as cores porque precisamos escolher as cores das canetas que sejam correspondentes ás cores do lápis que vamos usar.
To make this effect we will need alcohol pens or hydropens, preferably with thin tips and all colors because we need to choose the colors of the pens that correspond to the colors of the pencils that we are going to use.
Escolhemos um objeto e sua cor principal, e com a caneta com a cor correspondente vamos fazer o contorno interno desse objeto dando ênfase à parte do objeto onde há menos luz: nessa parte fazemos um contorno interno um pouco mais acentuado e na parte onde há a incidência da luz, suavizamos o contorno ou até nem passamos a caneta.
We choose an object and its main color, and with the pen with the corresponding color we will make the inner contour of this object giving emphasis to the part of the object where there is less light: in this part we make an internal contour a little more accentuated and in the part where there is the light, we soften the contour or even do not contour with the pen.
Fazemos o contorno interno de todos os objetos, sempre com atenção ás partes de sombra e luz dos mesmos.

Depois de contornados internamente, passamos à pintura conforme já vimos nos vídeos anteriores: com a construção das cores e tons.
Começo com uma camada suave de rosa e vou acrescentando camadas nas partes onde há mais sombra e suavizando a mão nas partes onde há luz.

É interessante quando usamos nossa memória para imaginar um vaso cor de rosa e a luz incidindo nele. Um efeito bastante significativo é deixar o branco do papel na parte onde a luz incide, ou fazer uma camada muitíssimo leve de cor.

Nas partes de luz podemos usar a borracha maleável para retirar um pouco de cor; não esquecendo que ela também serve para corrigir as partes onde pressionamos demais.

Outra técnica que vimos anteriormente é o uso da cor complementar para produzir a sombra de um objeto, mas nesta pintura fiz apenas as sombras com a gradação da cor.

O efeito da técnica é mais percebido quando nos afastamos da pintura.
Quando vamos a museus há uma distância de afastamento mínima a ser respeitada, ficamos a cerca de 1,5m de uma pintura.
Quando estamos pintando, nos debruça,os em cima do papel e por vezes perdemos um pouco a visualização da pintura então é sempre bom nos afastarmos dele um pouco para observar o efeito das técnicas que estamos usando.
The effect of this technique is more noticeable when we move away from the painting.
When we go to museums there is a minimum distance to be respected, about 1.5m from a painting.
When we are painting, we lean on the paper and sometimes we lose some of the visualization of the painting so it is always good to move away from it, a little, to observe the effect of the techniques we are using.
