GELLI: TÉCNICAS BÁSICAS (BASIC TECHNIQUES)

GELLI PLATE, esse é o nome completo desse material maravilhoso, á base de gelatina, que nos permite criar efeitos de pintura em papel completamente exclusivos, únicos!

Neste vídeo veremos técnicas básicas, muito simples, porque a intenção aqui é entrar em contato com o material, conhecer como ele se comporta quando aplicamos tintas e papel sobre ele.

Sempre digo que conhecer o material que temos em mãos é fundamental para soltarmos a nossa criatividade sabendo exatamente como fazer, como produzir o efeito que queremos!

Acertar, errar, acertar novamente....não há o compromisso de que tudo saia certo, é um experimento!

GELLI PLATE, this is the full name of this wonderful material, based on gelatin, which allows us to create painting effects on paper completely exclusive, unique!

É possível obter vários efeitos nas impressões, alguns abstratos e outros com ajuda de stencil.

É isso: GELLI nos possibilita fazer impressões em papel, com quase qualquer tipo de tinta.

It is possible to obtain various effects on the prints, some abstract and others with the help of stencils.

That's it: GELLI allows us to make prints on paper, with almost any type of paint.

Na foto abaixo usei um stencil como base e tinta acrílica que é a que, na minha opinião fica melhor.

Mas podemos usar outras tintas desde que não fiquem muito solúveis como a aquarela.

In the photo below I used a stencil as a base and acrylic paint which is the one that, in my opinion, looks better.

But we can use other paints as long as they are not too soluble like watercolors.

Além dos papéis também podemos imprimir em envelopes, tags, páginas de livros, qualquer papel em qualquer formato. 

Claro que o tamanho da GELLI limita a impressão mas a arte fica tão inesperada que mesmo com tamanhos menores vale a pena fazer.

In addition to papers, we can also print on envelopes, tags, book pages, any paper in any format.

Of course, the size of GELLI limits printing, but the art is so unexpected that even with smaller sizes worth doing.

Minha GELLI tem o tamanho A4, mas podemos faze-la em forma de círculo, de triângulo, ou em qualquer outro formato.

Testei essa receita por um bom tempo e a adaptei para o nosso clim. 

Ela não dura para sempre, um dia terá que ser refeita, mas dura bastante. A minha tem quase 1 ano e está ótima.

I have tested this recipe for a long time and have adapted it to our clima.

It doesn't last forever, one day it will have to be redone, but it lasts a long time. Mine is almost 1 year old and looks great.

Como fazer impressões no papel usando Gelli?

Coloque pequenas porções de tinta acrílica sobre a Gelli e espalhe com um rolinho de borracha.

How to make prints on paper using Gelli?

Place small portions of acrylic paint over the Gelli and spread it with a rubber roller.

Coloque o papel diretamente sobre a GELLI ou aplique um stencil antes de colocar o papel.

Place the paper directly on the GELLI or apply a stencil before loading the paper.

Retire o stencil e coloque um pedaço de papel por cima. Eu coloquei um envelope aberto.

Remove the stencil and place a piece of paper on top. I have put an open envelope.

O efeito é lindo! E com o resto da tinta que sobrou na GELLI aplico algumas tags já cortadas: mais efeitos lindos!

Na verdade, é muito fácil usar a GELLI para fazer impressões em papéis porque não existe certo e errado. Quando alguma impressão não fica boa podemos fazer outra por cima, nada se perde!

Assim temos papéis únicos, exclusivos, prontos para valorizar qualquer livro, marcador de página, envelope, tag, etc....

Gelatos são pequenos bastões de cores que parecem batons!
Tem a mesma textura, são macios e deslizam facilmente sobra as superfícies e tem um forte poder de cobertura, são miscíveis entre si, as cores são vibrantes e podem ser metálicas também.

Além de tudo isso podem ser aplicados com os dedos, com pincel, com pedaços de pano ou pequenas toalhas umedecidas...realmente são muito versáteis, sem limites!
Gelatos são um produto da Faber-Castell e são apresentados em pequenos estojos, médios e grandes.

Minha caixa possui 12 Gelatos e um pincel e são bastões com a consistência de batom: cremosos e com alto poder de cobertura.

My box has 12 Gelatos and a brush, and they are sticks with the consistency of a lipstick: creamy and with high covering power.

Podem ser aplicados diretamente sobre papel e misturados com a ponta dos dedos. Podemos borrifar um pouco de água para que misturem melhor e tenham um efeito de aquarela. Podemos usar pincel também.

They can be applied directly on paper and mixed with your fingertips. We can sprinkle a little water so that they mix better and have a watercolor effect. We can use a brush too.

Podemos fazer uma base e colocar por cima um stencil.Com um lenço umedecido podemos tirar parte da tinta, evidenciando o desenho do stencil.

We can make a base and put a stencil on top. With a wet wipe we can remove some of the paint, highlighting the stencil design.

Podemos misturar Gelatos com Gesso de textura e passar por cima de um stencil, sobre um papel já pintado com Gelatos.

We can mix Gelatos with Gesso and go over a stencil, on a paper already painted with Gelatos.

Também podemos aplicar Gelatos em alguma parte do papel, bem concentrado, e passar água com um pincel e até com um spray. Dessa forma o Gelatos escorre pelo papel resultando em belos efeitos.

We can also apply Gelatos to some part of the paper, concentrated, and pass water with a brush and even with a spray. In this way Gelatos drips across the paper resulting in beautiful effects.

Podemos usar Gelatos como tinta diretamente em um desenho. Recortar o desenho e usa-lo em uma base também com Gelatos.

Gelatos também pode ser usado com carimbos, aplicado diretamente sobre eles, umedecidos com água. O efeito é lindo, parece uma pintura de aquarela!

E falando em pintura, podemos cortar um pedaço pequeno de Gelatos, colocar em um recipiente, misturar com água e pintar como se fosse tinta comum! O efeito também é aquarelado pois a água dá transparência ao Gelatos.

And speaking of painting, we can cut a small piece of Gelatos, put it in a container, mix it with water and paint it as if it were ordinary paint! The effect is also watercolored because the water gives transparency to the Gelatos.

Podemos impermeabilizar uma arte feita com Gelatos usando Modge Podge ou até cola para decoupage, da forma certa para que o gelatos não reaja com o produto. Ou seja, depois de seco, ao aplicarmos qualquer produto úmido, o Gelatos reativa e reage com essa umidade, sendo possível mistura-lo novamente. 

We can waterproof an art made with Gelatos using Modge Podge or even glue for decoupage, in the right way so that Gelatos do not react with the product. That is, after drying, when applying any moist product, Gelatos reactivates and reacts with this humidity, being possible to mix it again.

LÁPIS FABER-CASTELL - TABELA DE CORES

Conhecer e saber extrair o máximo do lápis de cor é fundamental em qualquer caso e a melhor forma de conhecer esse material maravilhoso é usando! Tanto em desenhos próprios quanto em livros de colorir que são amplamente divulgados atualmente e que fazem muito sucesso.

No vídeo abaixo eu faço a Tabela de Cores de uma caixa de lápis de cor da linha escolar da Faber-Castell.

Sempre que temos uma caixa de lápis na mão a primeira coisa que fazemos é observar as informações que o fabricante coloca na caixa, como o tipo de lápis,  a quantidade, o nome das cores, se é linha escolar ou profissional....

A Tabela de Cores é fundamental para sabermos a cor exata de cada lápis e seu comportamento sobre um papel branco, uma vez que mesmo que a cor do lápis seja indicada no corpo do lápis através de pintura, essa pintura nem sempre corresponde à cor exata da mina do lápis.

The Color Table is essential to know the exact color of each pencil and its behavior on a white paper, since even if the color of the pencil is indicated on the body of the pencil through painting, this painting does not always correspond to the exact color of the pencil mine.

Então, na tabela de Cores, escrevemos o nome da cor e também o número, caso tenha. Gosto de usar caneta marcador preta, da Mitsubichi porque é resistente à água após secagem, independente do lápis ser ou não aquarelável.

Then, in the Colors Table, we write the name of the color and also the number, if you it has one. I like to use black marker pen, from Mitsubichi because it is water resistant after drying, regardless of whether the pencil is watercolored.

Nesta caixa os lápis da Faber-Castell vem em uma bandeja, o que é muito útil porque evita que os lápis rolem sobre a mesa e caiam no chão! É um pesadelo ver um lápis cair no chão!

In this Faber-Castell pencils box comes a tray, which is very useful because it prevents the pencils from rolling on the table and falling to the floor! It's a nightmare to see a pencil fall to the floor!

Esses lápis tem o formato sextavado, que ajuda a mante-los em cima da mesa sem que rolem e caiam no chão. Então temos duas proteções: a bandeja e o formato.

These pencils have a hexagonal shape, which helps keeping them on the table without rolling and falling on the floor. So we have two protections: the tray and the format.

Gosto de fazer a tabela agrupando as cores parq eu possa comparar os tons quando for escolher um lápis.

I like to make the table grouping the colors so I can compare the tones when choosing a pencil.

Estes são lápis secos, não aquareláveis, macios, com um bom poder de cobertura e facilmente miscíveis entre si. Para um linha escolar, realmente são muito bons.

These are dry, non-watercolorable, soft pencils, with good covering power and easily miscible with each other. For a school line, they are really good.

Ao fazer a Tabela, divido cada quadrado ao meio, onde em uma metade coloco a cor em um tom mais forte e na outra metade vou suavizando a cor. Dessa forma percebo os entretons da cor.

When making the Table, I divide each square in half, where in one half I put the color in a stronger tone and in the other half I soften the color. That way I perceive the color interlaces.

Tabela pronta, é colocada dentro da caixa e será sempre útil na hora da pintura.

When the Table is ready, it is placed inside the box and will always be useful while painting.
