Já estava sentindo saudades de fazer os meus queridos, os Livros das Sombras, que são os livros que mais gosto de fazer porque me transportam pra um mundo à parte, onde me sinto bem.

Estes tem o formato de Junk Journal, parecem ser de Halloween mas não são!

I've been missing doing my beloved Books osf Shadows, which are my favorite books to do because they transport me to a world apart, where I feel good. 💀

These are in the format of a Junk Journal, they look like they're for Halloween but they're not! 

Mas claro que quem tiver um livro destes pode escrever nele o que desejar, pode considera-lo um Livro dos Sonhos, um Diário de Viagem, um Bullet Journal, um Diário de Memórias, um livro de anotações....até um livro de Halloween, apesar de realmente minha intenção foi fazer Livros das Sombras divertidos.

But of course, anyone who has a book like this can write in it whatever they want, they can consider it a Dream Book, a Travel Diary, a Bullet Journal, a Memoir Diary, a note book.... even a Halloween book, although my intention was really to make fun Book of Shadows.

Como eu não queria um livro "sério", pesado, com uma encadernação clássica, fiz todos como se fossem Junk Journals, e pensei: "Junk Journal, Junk Journal....por que não "Junk Shadow?"😉

As I didn't want a “serious”, heavy book with a classic binding, I made them all like Junk Journals, and thought: “Junk Journal, Junk Journal....why not ”Junk Shadow?”😉

E assim nasceu, ou inventei ou surgiu da minha mente o nome "Junk Shadow que, gramática inglesa á parte, nunca vi sendo usado em nenhum vídeo, post, nem em lugar nenhum.

Se você já viu alguém falando "Junk Shadow" antes de mim, por favor, me diga.

And that's how the name “Junk Shadow” was born, or invented or came from my mind, which, English grammar aside, I've never seen anyone using in any video, in a post or anywhere.

If you've ever seen anyone say “Junk Shadow” before me, please tell me.

O fato é que amo fazer livros criativos que instigeum minha imaginação, que me desafiem e pode acreditar que fazer 9 Junk Shadows foi desafiador demais!! 😂

Por que a pressa pra fazer estes livros? Essa é uma outra história....vamos ver!

The fact is that I love making creative books that stimulate my imagination, that challenge me and you can believe that making 9 Junk Shadows was too challenging!!! 😂

Why the rush to make these books? That's another story.... let's see!

Faz uns 5 anos que, de vez em quando, preciso viajar pra fora do país por motivos profissionais (aproveito pra tirar férias e fazer turismo também! 😍) e quando me dou conta tudo vai caminhando pra que a viagem aconteça justamente em Novembro que é um dos melhores meses do ano pra vender livros, aliás, vender qualquer coisa, pois todos querem comprar presentes de Natal!!

For about five years now, I've had to travel abroad from time to time for professional reasons (I take the opportunity to go on vacation and do some sightseeing too! 😍) and the next thing I know, everything is moving towards the trip to happen in November, which is one of the best months of the year to sell books, in fact, to sell anything, because everyone wants to buy Christmas presents!!!

Posso mudar a viagem pra outro mês? Não!! 😣

Então, o jeito é fazer muitos livros, colocar na loja, mostrar todos os dias intensivamente, esperar que as pessoas entendam que a loja vai fechar justamente quando elas querem comprar, relaxar e viajar sem pensar muito em tudo isso, pra não pirar.

Can I move the trip to another month? No! 😣

So, the best thing to do  is to make lots of books, put them in the store, show them every day intensively, hope that people understand that the store is going to close just when they want to buy them, relax and travel without thinking too much about it all, so as not to freak out.

Então dia 28 de Outubro fecharei a loja porque minha viagem é no dia 5 de Novembro, simples assim. Vou pra Holanda e pra Áutria e aproveitar pra ver a decoração de Natal lá, adoro Natal!

Vou comprar tudo que encontar de lindo e maravilhoso, já sei que terei problemas com sobrepeso no avião! 🙈

So on October 28th I'll close up store because my trip is on November 5th, simple as that. I'm going to Holland and Austria to see the Christmas decorations there, I love Christmas!

I'm going to buy everything beautiful and wonderful I can find, I already know I'll have problems with overweight on the plane! 🙈

Em algum post anterior falei sobre "This book can be yours", para os estrangeiros que querem ter um dos meus livros, estou trabalhando nisso, procurando um jeito de colocar um botão de Whatsapp aqui no blog pra que possam entrar em contato. Se eu não conseguir antes da viagem, quando voltar prometo que acho um jeito.

Pra brasileiros é mais simples, basta acessar a loja e pronto. 😍

In a previous post I wrote about “This book can be yours”, for foreigners who want to have one of my books. I'm working on it, looking for a way to put a Whatsapp button here on the blog so they can get in touch. If I can't do it before the trip, I promise I'll find a way when I get back.

It's simpler for Brazilians, just go to the store and that's it. 😍

Vamos às especificações de cada livro, são iguais por dentro, apenas a capa e as imagens interiores são diferentes porque cada um tem um tema mas você pode ver todos no vídeo abaixo:

- Medidas aproximadas: 15cm de largura x 21cm de comprimento (quando fechado);

- Peso aproximado: 680 gramas;

- Capas: duras, na frontal papelão forrado com sobreposição de imagem e posterior de papelão forrado;

- Lombada: costura entrelaçada sobre papelão forrado;

- Miolo: 124 folhas (248 páginas) mistas contendo imagens, algumas folhas de cor pretas, algumas folhas de cor creme e a maior parte em folhas de papel offset envelhecidas, sem pauta, com aplicação de carimbos, de rendas em algumas extremidades, de cantoneiras de papel e encaixes para papéis. Também possui envelopes e ainda um encarte avulso com bolsos e amarração com elástico contendo um livreto com 30 folhas (60 páginas) de papel Reciclato;

- Um marcador de páginas em veludo preto com pingente metálico e miçangas;

- Fechamento feito por amarração com fitas;

- Guardas em papel de Scrapbooking;

- Costura decorativa com fita de cetim roxa.

Obs.: o livro é feito com materiais novos que foram envelhecidos artesanalmente. 

Let's go into the specifications of each book, they are the same inside, only the cover and interior images are different because each one has a theme but you can see them all in the video below:

- Approximate measurements: 15cm wide x 21cm long (when closed);

- Approximate weight: 680 grams;

- Covers: hard, on the front lined cardboard with image overlay and on the back lined cardboard;

- Spine: interlaced stitching on lined cardboard;

- Inside: 124 sheets (248 pages) of mixed paper containing images, some black sheets, some cream sheets and most of it on aged offset paper, with no stamps, lace at some edges, paper corners and paper slots. There are also envelopes and a single booklet with pockets and elastic binding containing a booklet with 30 sheets (60 pages) of Reciclato paper;

- Closure with ribbon ties;

Note: the book is made with new materials that have been aged by hand.

Livro Expansível (Expandable Book)

 

Olá, amores!

Este é um livro muito "fofo" que parece pequeno (tem o tamanho A6) mas com um segredinho: dentro dele você pode encher de papéis, de envelopes, de fotos.....que ele guarda tudo, cabe tudo mesmo!

Isso porque sua lombada é uma sanfona então ele se adapta a variações de volume, aumentando ou diminuindo a lombada de acordo com o que você colocar dentro dele e pra isso basta apenas ajustar a fita de fechamento, com um belo laço!

Ideal pra todos os tipos de anotações e também pra dar de presente!

Tempos atrás quando comecei a dar aulas de encadernação artesanal, mostrei como fazer alguns livros artesanais e este foi um deles. 

Sempre procurava mostrar livros que pudessem ser feitos por quem não tinha prática nem conhecimento de encadernação pois eram aulas gratuitas então o público que assistia ás aulas era imenso, de todas as idades, e eu queria que todos conseguissem fazer.

A long time ago, when I started teaching handmade bookbinding classes, I showed how to make some handmade books and this was one of them. 

I always tried to show books that could be made by those who had no practice or knowledge of bookbinding, because they were free classes, so the audience was huge, of all ages, and I wanted everyone to be able to make them.

Na época, essas aulas gratuitas eram chamadas de maratonas de encadernação e fizeram bastante sucesso. 

Depois, essas aulas das maratonas foram colocadas dentro do meu Clube do Livro Artesanal, que é um curso online pago onde dou aulas de encadernação.

At the time, these free classes were called bookbinding marathons and they were very successful. 

Later, these marathon classes were included in my Handmade Book Club, which is a paid online course where I teach bookbinding.

Lembro que este livro fez muito sucesso e é também um livro que eu mesma gosto bastante de fazer, fiz alguns pra colocar na loja.

I remember that this book was very successful and it's also one that I enjoy making myself, I made a few to put in the store.

Neste ano de 2024 resolvi inovar colocando aulas de encadernação em grupos no Facebook, além do Clube do Livro Artesanal que é na plataforma de cursos Hotmart.

Fiz isso pra facilitar a vida de quem está no Facebook e quer permanecer ali dentro fazendo algum curso e este é o primeiro livro que vou ensinar a fazer.

Para ter acesso ao grupo é preciso comprar o acesso diretamente na loja do estúdio, bem simples, né?

Após a confirmação do pagamento a pessoa recebe o link do grupo por e-mail e entra no grupo.

Todas as aulas já estarão lá, gravadas e á disposição pra serem assistidas.

O tempo de acesso também é informado dentro do grupo e as dúvidas são respondidas dentro do próprio grupo. Tudo bem simples e direto!

This year, 2024, I decided to innovate by putting bookbinding classes in Facebook groups, as well as the Handmade Book Club, which is on the Hotmart course platform.

I did this to make life easier for those who are on Facebook and want to stay there taking a course, and this is the first book I'm going to teach you how to make.

To gain access to the group, you need to buy access directly from the studio's store - pretty simple, right?

Once payment has been confirmed, you receive the group link by email and join the group.

All the classes will already be there, recorded and available to watch.

The access time is also informed within the group and any questions are answered within the group itself. It's all very simple and straightforward!

If this new way of giving lessons works out, I'll put more courses in the store, let's see, hopefully!

Os livros das fotos estão na loja, não sei por quanto tempo pois o Natal está chegando e o valor de venda deles é ótimo, eu compraria todos pra dar de presente e ficaria com um pra mim, aliás, eu já tenho 4 comigo!!

Como eu uso meu Almanaque (How I use my Almanac)

 

Olá, Amores!

Fiz a  Coleção Almanaque porque muitas vezes o meu Bullet Journal aparecia nos stories e em outros vídeos meus, e o livro que eu uso como Bullet Journal é um almanaque.

Eu chamo de almanaques os livros que tem muitas folhas e que são encadernadas compactadas, de forma que o livro parece um "tijolinho", parece um pacote bem feito!

E sempre me perguntavam como eu usava o sistema de Bullet Journal no meu livro. 

Meu sistema não é exatamente igual ao do Bullet Journal que vemos em vídeos no YouTube; eu me inspirei no sistema, usei por um tempo mas não funcionou pra mim, então fui adaptando até o que chamo de ideal, que é o que eu uso hoje.

No YouTube eu mostro o livro inteiro, inclusive o que não deu certo, mas aqui no post vou mostrar apenas a parte que realmente interessa que é como eu o uso hoje em dia.

Primeiramente eu enumero todas as folhas, frente e verso, ou seja, coloco numeração nas páginas.

E na primeira página eu coloco o Índice porque tudo que eu escrever no livro terá um pequeno título referente ao assunto, então á medida que vou escrevendo escrevo no Índice o título e a página que consta o assunto.

Dessa forma consigo localizar facilmente o que procuro, por exemplo:

Tenho uma página dedicada a anotar os materiais que preciso comprar pro estúdio, então vou anotando todos ali e na hora de comprar basta ir no ìndice, procurar por "Materiais para comprar" e ver o que falta!

Outro título que tenho é "Ideias de vídeos para o YouTube", que coloquei no Índice também e quando tenho alguma idea escrevo numa página e anoto o número da página no Índice. Cada título pode ter mais de uma página anotada no Índice, então se escrevi várias sugestões de vídeos e completei uma página simplesmente uso uma nova página pra continuar anotando e essa nova página entrará para o Índice também.

Abaixo você pode ver o meu Índice, veja que já completei a página da esquerda e comecei a usar  a página da direita então é bom deixar algumas folhas em branco para o caso de ter que anotar muitos títulos. Clique na foto para amplia-la e ver melhor.

I made the Almanac Collection because my Bullet Journal often appeared in stories and in my other videos, and the book I use as a Bullet Journal is an almanac.

I call almanacs the books that have a lot of pages and are bound compactly, so that the book looks like a “little brick”, it looks like a well-made package!

And I was always asked how I used the Bullet Journal system in my book. 

My system isn't exactly the same as the Bullet Journal we see in YouTube videos; I was inspired by it, I used it for a while but it didn't work for me, so I adapted it to what I call the ideal, which is what I use today.

In my YouTube video I show the whole book, including what didn't work, but here in this post I'm only going to show the part that really matters, which is how I use it today.

First of all, I list all the pages, front and back, in other words, I number the pages.

And on the first page I put the Table of Contents because everything I write in the book will have a short title referring to the subject, so I write the title and the page containing the subject in the Table of Contents.

That way I can easily find what I'm looking for, for example:

I have a page dedicated to writing down the materials I need to buy for the studio, so I write them all down there and when it's time to buy I just go to the Index, search for “Materials to buy” and see what's missing!

Another title  is “Video ideas for YouTube”, which I also put in the Index and when I have an idea I write it down on a page and note the page number in the Index. Each title can have more than one page noted in the Index, so if I've written down several video suggestions and completed a page, I simply use a new page to continue writing them down and that new page will go in the Index too.

Below you can see my Index, I have already completed the left-hand page and started using the right-hand page, so it's good to leave a few blank pages in case you have to write down a lot of titles. Click on the photo to enlarge it and see it better.

Agora vamos ver como eu programo meu mês!

 Em uma página escrevo o calendário do mês mas de forma vertical, porque nele anoto apenas compromissos pontuais como aniversários, consultas médicas, férias, comemorações, etc.

Nessa página, que é dividida ao meio, também escrevo as tarefas mais importantes que preciso fazer nesse mês.

Na página seguinte, coloco a abreviação dos dias da semana de domingo a segunda-feira, e sincronizo com os numerais correspondentes, como está na foto abaixo, por exemplo: terça-feira 1, quarta-feira 2 e assim por diante. Começo sempre na primeira semana do mês, então, na foto vemos o mês de outubro de 2024 que começou numa terça-feira. faço o calendário até domigo.

As colunas verticais e horizontais coloridas são apenas pra que eu não escreva torto, servem como orientação mesmo. 

Now let's see how I plan my month!

 On one page I write the calendar for the month, but vertically, because I only write down specific appointments such as birthdays, doctor's appointments, vacations, celebrations, etc. on it.

On this page, which is divided in half, I also write down the most important tasks I need to do on that month.

On the next page, I abbreviate the days of the week from Sunday to Monday and synchronize them with the corresponding numerals, as shown in the photo below, for example: Tuesday 1, Wednesday 2 and so on. I always start with the first week of the month, so in the photo we see  October 2024 which started on a Tuesday. I do the calendar until Sunday.

The colored vertical and horizontal columns are just so I don't write crookedly, they're for guidance. 

Continuo programando cada semana do mês em uma página diferente.

I keep scheduling each week of the month on a different page.

Depois de todas as semanas programadas gosto de reservar a última página para escrever "o que aprendi neste mes" e "o que pretendo fazer mês que vem". E assim termina a minha programação que é toda junta: diária, semanal e mensal.

After each week's schedule, I like to reserve the last page to write down “what I learned this month” and “what I plan to do next month”. And that's the end of my schedule, which is all put together: daily, weekly and monthly.

E como funciona?

Veja o exemplo na foto: Na página da esquerda, que é a semana de 9 a 15 de setembro, anoto todas as tarefas que pretendo fazer e nas colunas abaixo dos dias da semana faço marcações com pontos escolhendo o dia em que cada tarefa deverá ser feita. 

Todos os dias eu vejo o que preciso fazer. No dia seguinte, de manhã, marco com a letra X se consegui fazer as tarefas do dia anterior, com / se comecei a fazer mas não acabei, e com > se transferia a tarefa para o dia seguinte ou para outra data.

Quando a semana termina reescrevo as tarefas que não consegui fazer ou que ainda não terminei na próxima página que corresponde à próxima semana, e acrescento as novas tarefas a serem feitas. Novamente marco com pontos os dias de fazer cada uma delas e assim vai.

How does it work?

See the example in the photo: On the left-hand page, which is the week from September 9 to 15, I write down all the tasks I want to do and in the columns below the days of the week I make marks with dots choosing the day on which each task should be done. 

Every day I see what I need to do. The next morning, I mark with the letter X if I've managed to do the previous day's tasks, with / if I've started but not finished, and with > if I've moved the task to the next day or to another date.

When the week is over, I rewrite the tasks I didn't manage to do or haven't finished on the next page corresponding to the next week, and add the new tasks to be done. Again, I mark the days to do each task with dots, and so on.

Já experimentei alguns sistemas de organização mas o único que tem dado certo até agora é este. Talvez muitas pessoas usem um sistema igual ao meu, porque comecei a modificar o sistema original gradativamente até chegar a este que considero ideal pra mim, por isso acredito que muitas pessoas tenham chegado ás mesmas conclusões que eu e usem um sistema parecido ou até igual ao meu.

I've tried a few organization systems but the only one that has worked so far is this one. Perhaps many people use a system like mine, because I gradually began to modify the original system until I reached the one I consider ideal for me, so I believe that many people have come to the same conclusions as me and use a system similar or even the same as mine.
